Hi this is on my screen after I have put user passwords in after ive rebooted my hp omnibook Xe 3 and it pops up every 20 secs. It looks like message services.I think . does anybody know. Please. ?

This behavior can occur for any of the following reasons:
  • Your password list (.pwl) file is damaged.
  • A service or program that loads during the startup process conflicts with another service or program.
  • You are using user profiles.
  • There is a hardware conflict on your computer.
  • A hardware driver on your computer is missing or damaged.
  • If profiles are enabled, Windows may not be able to contact the primary domain controller's Netlogon share when looking for a Config.pol file. (Windows checks for a Config.pol file even if policies are not used.)
  • Your primary domain controller (PDC) is not local to your Windows 95 or Windows 98 clients.
  • A single user profile is corrupted.
  • Your network adapter is not correctly seated.
  • You are using a reserved word for your user name.

How to Reset AD Password for Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008?

Have you ever forgotten Active Directory (AD) password? Do you know how to reset AD password? Is there any Windows password reset software to do AD password reset? If not, what to do to reset AD password? Before answering these questions and do AD password reset, you need to what is active directory, Windows domain and domain controller.
What is Active Directory?Active Directory is used by system administrators to store information about users, assign security policies, and deploy software. It was released first with Windows 2000 Server edition and refined further in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and was renamed Active Directory Domain Services. AD components include such domains, domain controllers, trust relationships, forests, organizational units, etc. What is a domain controller?
According to Wiki, a domain controller is a server that responds to security authentication requests (logging in, checking permissions, etc.) within the Windows Server domain. The domain controllers in your network are the centerpiece of your Active Directory service. It stores user account information, authenticates users and enforces security policy for a Windows domain. When you install Windows Server on a computer, you can choose to configure a specific server role for that computer. When you want to create a new domain, or an additional domain controller in an existing domain, you configure the server with the role of domain controller by installing AD DS.
What is a Domain?A domain is a concept introduced in Windows NT whereby a user may be granted access to a number of computer resources with the use of a single username and password combination.
The domain concept not only allows a user to have access to resources that may be on different servers, but it also allows one domain to be given access to another domain in a trust relationship. In this arrangement, the user need only log in to the first domain to also have access to the second domain's resources as well.
So it is hard to say if there any windows password recovery software can reset AD password. Windows password recovery software like Windows Password Unlocker Enterprise can allow you to reset domain administrator password on Active directory for Windows server 2000/2003/2008.
Steps to reset domain administrator password
  • Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Unlocker Enterprise in any available computer.
  • Step 2: Run the software and insert a USB flash drive to computer.
  • Step 3: Select Domain Administrator and target USB drive, and then click the Burn button to start burning an ISO image file to the USB flash drive.
  • Step 4: Click ok when burning process is completed.
  • Step 5: Insert the burned USB flash drive to your locked computer and set the computer to boot from USB.
  • Step 6: Choose the way to reset AD password.
  • 2 options for you to reset domain password
  • 0b60bd0.jpg
  • Option 1: Reset the default domain administrator password to Pa123456
  • Option 2: Reset AD password by creating a specified domain administrator account.
  • Step 7: Click YES to continue and click Ok when the domain password has been successfully reset.
Now you can log on your domain with the user name of administrator and password of 'Pa123456' if you select option 1. If you select option 2, you can log on domain with the username of 'passkiller' and password of 'Pa123456'.

How to Log on Automatically to Windows 7 Without Typing Password

In this tutorial I will tell you how to configure Windows 7 OS to automatically connect without prompting you to enter your login password each time user account. Although in this example can be found on many other sites, we have decided to publish them. The problem with other similar guides is that they are not complete and not to give you all information you need to know. So I will try to guide you through all stages and share them with you all the information you need to know in order not to ruin the computer.
First, open the Run window by pressing the Windows key + R or launch the Command Prompt. Type one of the following two commands: netplwiz.exe or control userpasswords2. No matter which one you use, they have identical results and launch the same window.
Once you run the command, a User Accounts window similar to the one below will launch. There you will see the list of users registered on your PC. Select the user for which you no longer want to type the password in order to log in to Windows 7. Uncheck the option which says 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer' and click on OK.

Now you will be asked to type right user password of the user twice. After done, click on OK.
http://i.fixya.net/fixya20autologonwindows72_thumb.jpg
The next time you will start Windows 7, you will be automatically logged on with the user you just selected. This user will become the default log on user to Windows 7.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If you have multiple users on your PC, the definition of that definition could be a disadvantage. Windows 7 will still automatically connect to the user that you selected during this procedure. Sign in to join to have another user wait for Windows 7 to boot and connects you automatically to disconnect, then the other user you wish to register. If you set things on how they followed the same procedure and make sure you check the option which says 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer'.
If this Windows 7 PC has joined a network domain, such as a company network, this procedure will not work. In network domains, the policies regarding the log on procedure are set by the network administrator and cannot be overwritten by users. If you try this on your office computer, there is not way.

There is no room to enter a domain.

Hi,
I'm assuming that the operating system is XP.

Log in to your account as you usually would. Right click on My Computer and select Properties from the list. Click on the Computer Name tab. Where it says "To rename this computer or join a domain" click on change. A new window will pop up so click on Workgroup. In the typing plane if it say's MSHOME, delete that and type WORKGROUP make sure you type it in uppercase (capital letters).
When you've done that click OK.
The computer will tell you that you have to restart the computer for the changes to take effect so please restart the computer.

Once the computer has restarted you can check if the domain has changed to WORKGROUP.

Please post back if you need anymore help.

Regards.

How do i change the configuration from domain to work group

even if you mistakenly joined a domain you can still log in through your existing id and password.
Once your press CTRL+ALT+DEL, you will see a login window with three fields namely: user id, password and Domain.
In the log in screen use the drop-down menu in front of Domain (which shows your new domain- most likey MSHome) and choose 'this computer'. After this, enter your old/existing user id and password and hit enter.
Please proceed to your system settings and change your domain back to Workgroup. Restart PC.

User creating in domain

In active directory on the server you need to create a network admin user and any other normal users u want to have access to the domain.
Then you have to add the pc to the domain using the network admin user.
After this u can log on to the pc with the network admin or the other created user names.
