Question about Insignia 39 in. Class LCD HDTV

Open Question

Can't get composite to work

I have an insignia 39" LCD TV and it is not recognizing my PS2's composite cables. I have correctly put the red, yellow, and white colored parts into their respective locations, but the insignia tv is not recognizing anything new when I turn on my PS2. I looked through every channel and input the Insignia had and looked around my settings page and still nothing. Is it a lost cause?

SOURCE: tv picture looks grainy like it was shot on video

well most lcd and plasma tv's above 36" will look grainy on standard definition because they are made for high definition so if you do not receive a high definition signal to your tv then that would most likely be the problem

Yellow is a composite output and should be plugged into a composite input, whereas Y indicates the COMPONENT input of the TV. If you don't have a separate composite input use a scart to phono (rca) adapter in your tv's scart input.

Which generation playstation are you referring to The PS2 or PS3. The PS2 would be connected with a composite cable by default i.e red white and yellow cable. Connect the cable to the corresponding input on the TV, match color codes. Switch to correct input by using your remote controller. Press the AV button and a list of inputs come's up.Select av1 or av2 and check if you get a picture. If you use a ps3 then same as before press AV button on remote and select appropriate option on screen HDMI,Component or Composite.

We cant get our wii to work on a new 32 insignia lcd hd flat screen. Not sure what to pick under input selections.

If you didn't purchase the COmponent connector, set your TV to look at the A/V input. Composite cable is what comes standard with the Wii (yellow is video, red and white are audio).

As long as the Wii is connected to your TV correctly (cable color matches input color, and there are no other devices on a shared input...i.e. HDMI + Composite in on Input 4) you shouldn't have a problem.

Hope this helps!

Insignia LCD TV won't recognize computer input...

Heres the dealyo.
Click start button
Click control panel
Click display
Click settings
adjust screen resolution (probably have to go down) until the tv displays your computer
if this did not work, you will have to adjust bit rate from 32 to 16. Fiddle with the settings until the magic happens.
You will not get any sound unless you use an audio jack plugged into t.v.

Im here all week
