How can I bypass the safety feature on my Kenmore 800 washer. I like to put the detergent and water in before I add the clothes

In the picture attached, item #9 is the lid switch. Item #11 is the actuator that causes the switch to open when the lid is lifted. You can either tape the switch in the closed position, or remove the connector and jumper the pins to make the connection permanently. The switch is under the control panel, so you need to open that to get access. Ensure you disconnect power before entering the device.

How do I take the top off the dryer?

To remove the top, look on the back of the dryer and remove the screws hold the top to the body of the dryer. Once the back row of screws are removed, the top can be lifted, start from the back. The top acts like a clam shell opening first at the back. As you lift, you will find under the lid push pins in the top that go into holes in the base that attaches the top to the base. Pry between the lid and the base and the pins in the top will pop loose. Be careful for the control wiring coming up from the base not to pull it out once the lid the free from the base.

Why does the lid lock light start flashing after the wash cycle and will not rinse or spin?

Lift lid, stick screwdriver into slot where lid latch-pin inserts and see if it goes into the cycle. If so, try adjusting position of latch.

When you put the top down you have to push down hard on the right side where that plastic pin is that makes it turn on. do i have to replace the pin and washer.

The pin pushes on the lid safety switch. It may be bent out of position. Lift the top panel up to access the switch to see why the pin isn't reaching it.

Occasionally trunk lid won't lock on my a8 2006. When closing the lid is lifted a little on right hand side before falling into place. Even if I turn the central locking on the lid OFF it will open...

The locking mechanism either needs replacing or cleaning and lubricating but more often than not it's likely the striker pin needs readjusting to bring the lid fully shut.

Cannot remove the lid

Hi and Wlecome to FixYa. I am Kelly

Unscrew the flush plunger assembly on the very top of the tank. It unscrews counter clockwise and then lifts out. Then you can lift off the tank lid.

When you go to put the top back you will have to align the flush pin gears in the slot.

If your talking about the seat.... then there are 2 nuts underneath the water closet at the back that must be removed.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Kenmore series 70 washer won't stop agitating when lid Is lifted.

I have a Series 80 and when I lift the lid it does not stop aggitating when in wash mode. When I lift the lid it does stop spinning when in rinse mode. As designed.

To stop wash-mode aggitation at lid-lift, using the existing lid switch and other electrical components, is not easy and not recommended. I can think of a way to do it (triple-pole lid switch) but I will not detail the idea .. for safety concerns.

To stop aggitation, simply use the main settings dial control. You'll save money and possibly prevent a fire hazard!

The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position.
