Question about Sony VAIO Computers & Internet

I have a sony viao/windows 7 lap top and a xerox phaser 3400. I have tried repeatedly to connect with usb cord and the computer does not recognize printer.

I have a disc that doesn't work either. Tried downloading drivers from xerox and that doesn't work either.

    For some reason the reply buton on this site doesn't work. I have a 64bit windows 7 version and the printer still doesn't work. Xerox phaser 3400 laser printer connected by usb cord. Tried new cord so that's didn't work. Have disk,that didn't work. Xerox stopped making the 3400. Need help. Thanks.

1. The drivers for this Web camera may not be developed for Windows 7 64 bit by the manufacturer.
You will either have to purchase a new camera to be compatible with Windows 7 or Vista 64.
This is also true for your SD card reader.

There is a specific set of driver you have to install for your computer, Vaio laptops use the ACPI fucnction to control hardware access like volume / brightness control etc
You need the ACPI driver installed for Fn key to work
Install Sony Notebook Control Driver for windows vista
Install Sony Utils.dll
Install Sony Shared Library
same for your sd card reader just reinstall the drivers
sony only supports the factory shipped os drivers you will have to find the drivers for 7 elsewhere or reinstall your factory os

I don't have the usb cord that came with the camera, cannot find driver on line and after market cable not recognized, how can I upload to lap top Windows 10?

Contact Fuji customer services for help, advice and possibly the drivers and/or cable that you need. The camera is, however, eleven years old, so they may not have what you require anymore. It takes an xD media card, but you may be able to get a USB card reader that can accommodate that.

go to ur laptop configration not windows setting only system
when u start ur laptop than u see the mono of setup in the bigning clik th buton that shows for ur laptop setup than go to the port setting than enable ur ports

Usb hook up to computer

Hi dpelcowitz: You have to remove the rear right panel located on the right rear of the machine. When you remove the panel you will see the following. 3. Power cord connection 4. Power switch 5. Parallel port connection (8400 series only) 6. USB connection 7. Configuration card 8. Ethernet 10/100 Base-T connection. Hope this helps

Not printing

Hi ,
There may be several causes for this problem.
I will tell you one by one, and you try it.

The printer is not
receiving power.
Check the power cord connections.
Check the power switch and the
power source.

The printer is not
selected as the
default printer.
Select Xerox Phaser 6110
Series as your default printer.

Check the printer for
the following:
• The printer cover is
not closed.
• Paper is jammed.
• No paper is loaded.
• A toner cartridge is
not installed.
After locating the problem, clear it.
If a printer system error occurs,
contact your service representative.
• Close the printer cover.
• Clear the paper jam.
• Load paper.
• Install the toner cartridge.

The printer may be in
manual feed mode
and out of paper.
Check the message on the Status
Monitor program window, add paper
to the tray and press the
button on the control panel.

The connection cable
between the
computer and the
printer is not
connected properly.
Disconnect the printer cable and
reconnect it.

The connection cable
between the
computer and the
printer is defective.
If possible, attach the cable to
another computer that is working
properly and try to print a
document. You can also try using a
different printer cable.

The port setting is
Check the Windows printer setting
to make sure that the print job is
sent to the correct port. If the
computer has more than one port,
make sure that the printer is
attached to the correct one.

The printer may be
Check the printer properties to
ensure that all of the print settings
are correct.

If u still cant find the remedy, go for the support from XEROX,
