Question about Adesso CyberPad

Is this the right place to ask about notepads? I just saw the adesso notepad when visiting Philadelphia. I would like something for taking notes and completing forms. 8 1/2 by 11 is right size.

Are there alternatives? Does this work? If I create a form on my regular computer, do I just write on hard copy and then it automatically transfers if I open document?

As you can tell, I had never seen one before or thought about using one, but it sounds good.

Are replacement pens etc expensive?

Thanks for your help.

Tablet pen's cursor skips around in 3 places?

The cursor skipping in three places is apparently caused by the connectors inside the tablet getting dirty or corroded.
Fortunately, you can easily fix this problem yourself! All you need to do is unscrew the back of your tablet, unplug the connectors and clean them with a q-tip dipped in alcohol.
There is a video on YouTube that shows you step-by-step how to do it(it's easy!).
It's called: Howto fix dead areas on any graphics tablet and it's posted by riodroid.
Here's a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff7Vw-0kPsE

Hope this helps!

Medion p82001 notepad software drivers

My question is about a medion P82001 digital notepad.
Whenever I use the pad the right site up my writing appears from the top of the page to the bottom instead of from left to right.
I decided to turn the pad 1/4 to the right... now I can write from the left to the right but my writing won't fit to the page anymore.
Wrong margins...?
How can I correct the settings?

Aiptek 12000U "Pen Pad" is missing functions/doesn't work in XP

Same problem here. Back in XP we found we could use another manufacturer's drivers (they apparently share some/all of the same internal hardware), but I haven't found any working alternatives yet (I have not tried them all). In 2006 someone posted: "YES! Adesso, Aiptek, Trust, Medion and another company are all distributing the same graphics tablet, just rebranded! So far, Adesso seems to have the most recent driver developments (version 3.09 vs. aiptek's version 3.08), so I used Adesso's (right from their website)."

If you find a solution, please let me know.

I'm also having a big issue with the pen's cursor flickering between two places (vertically-offset from each other, closer and closer together if I move it towards the upper left side of the screen). It doesn't do this in relative mode. Switching back to absolute caused it again, then I repeated the process and now it works, but the pen-area is not set properly, so I'm looking for the extra tabs which let me/us set the rectangle area for absolute mode.

Help! Yellow note pad everywhre.

There is a program called Ink - you'll find it in your system preferences under the apple menu. You need to turn it off. This will allow you to use your wacom without that annoying yellow notepad everywhere!!

Notepad 'floating' in the way

On the mac, it was an interaction with the 'Inkwell' handwriting recognition software. I turned that off in System Pref's. It may have actually only been the check box 'in any application' rather than completely off.
So Starboard works great now!
thanks

Pen won't right click consistently

I found that the pen needs to be completely verticle in order to work properly for the left and right clicking. I did notice that while all my other pen functions work properly, the right click function completely disappeared. I've contacted Adesso, but all they do is send me new pen...#3 is on it's way

I have had my cybertablet about 6 months. It works fine on my old computer but not on my new vista computer. I downloaded the new drivers from your website that say Vista on them but I still get a double cursor. I have found that many people on internet forums are having this same problem. Are you going to make a vista compatable driver for the 8600?
