Question about OEM Systems Car Audio & Video Accessories
How do I remove the old one? Pull trim off, etc?
Since you didn't provide any Model info, I can't be sure what to tell you to do. Try going to www.InstallDr.com, because they have some great schematics and diagrams for radio removal.

Ignore the instructions in the Haynes manual!! (This will tell you to remove the centre console!) Pull off (forwards) the plastic that's just clipped between the centre console & the radio console.
This reveals the 2 screws that hold the radio console on. Remove them and pull the radio console forwards to remove. I think you could remove the electrical connections - I didn't and put the radio console on one side. Remove the 4 screws holding the radio chassis to the car and pull this forward and off. Pull out the aerial lead and carefully remove the electrical connections to the back of the radio/cd unit. For convenience remove the 4 set screws holding the radio chassis brackets and set to one side. (If it's in the way, remove the 2 screws holding the black plastic under-storage tray.)
Replace with a new unit. Take the current unit apart as best you can and retrieve your cd, undamaged.
