You didn't post the Problem.

Examples;
1) Yamaha PSR-2100 Keyboard won't turn on
2) Certain keys on keyboard will not work
3) Volume does not work
4) Won't eat it's vegetables. (Just seeing if you were following along, lol!)

Yamaha PSR-2100 will not turn on, when Power On switch is used.

A) Bad Power On switch
B) Bad DC - DC circuit on the motherboard.
(The AC adapter you have converts AC power to DC power. DC power goes into the Yamaha. From there it goes to the DC - DC circuit on the motherboard )

Certain keys will not play on the Yamaha PSR-2100.
A) EACH key is connected to a Capacitor, or Capacitors. If one is bad key will not work.

Suggest see if the motherboard uses Electrolytic Capacitors.
(More specifically, they are Radial Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors)

IF, Electrolytic Capacitors are used, see if there are visual signs of capacitor failure. The following information applies to ALL Electrolytic Capacitors, not just ones used on a Personal Computer motherboard,

A) http://capacitorlab.com/visible-failures/index.htm

B) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lut7MX5Dd_A

Post back in a Comment.

Manual for PSR 270 KEYBOARD

Yamaha has the manual for the PSR-270 keyboard on the product site: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalkeyboards/portable_keyboards/psr270/ . Click on the support tab. The direct link to the manual (in English) shows in my history as: http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=35052 .

I hope this helps.

Getting an error message when starting the PSR 2100

I would do a factory reset. Search Google for: factory reset PSR 2100.

It will be holding certain buttons or keys down when powering on.

Can we connect ipod touch with yamaha psr 2100 keyboard ?...

http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/Documents/KeyboardsDMI/PSR2100E1.pdf
On page 155 it looks like the only input for device(s) in a 1/4" mono jack for microphone or guitar, not stereo that would be needed for iPod. However, if you could set the iPod to mono output, this 1/4" input would work for you.

PSR-2100 need to find replacement circuit board.

I don't have a parts source for these other than Yamaha. Call them up to get the part number for the board. The sound is usually sent through the headphone jack which acts as a switch when you use headphones. Replacing that board should resolve your problem. If the board is no longer available, it is possible to repair the existing one, but this is a specialty task and not one I would recommend a novice attempt.

Please keep us posted on your progress,
Dan
