Question about GE Cooktops
I have a G.E Profile gas cook top #JGP640. The problem is that when I light the front left burner, the electronic ignitor does not turn off and it also makes the other 3 ignitors spark at the same time. How do I fix this?
I just moved into a house, have a G.E Profile gas cook top #JGP640, the problem is when I turn of the front right burner, the electronic ignitor doesn't turn off and make the other three sparking the same time and won't stop, driving me nut. I double check all ignitors are cleaned. What else should I check or should I just give up????

It is sparking because the module does not sense the heat which would normally cause the sparking to stop.
It can be caused by a poor ground, make sure the ignitor at that burner is clean and free from any obstructions. If it is then it could either be a defective ignitor or spark module.
