Printers do not normally turn off when you torn off your computer, there should be a power button on your printer than you need to press to turn it off, much like the computer monitor.

EPSON C60 RED LIGHT FLASHING ON CENTRE BUTTON CANT STOP IT

shellnbarry, As I stated in a previous post the red light flashing means an ink cartrdge is low but not empty. When the red light stays on it means an ink cartridge is empty. You can continue to use the printer until the red light stays on.

Printer 1270 front control panel lights are flashing constantly and the printer wont move or react to any manual inputs

Turn the printer off.
Press down the ink button and the paper button at the same time and turn the printer on (while keeping them pressed down)
After a second or two, the red paper light should start flashing.
Immediately release the buttons and press and hold the paper button again. Keep the paper button down for about ten seconds and release. After a second or two, the printer should go back to it's normal state.
Please try this and reply me for further doubts.
Regards, Nandini.

Blue light flashing light, red light on

The flashing means that the toner and/or the imaging drum is empty or missing (printing halts on these errors). Lights on steady means low toner.

Not printing

reboot the computer and the printer..
also try to do a "Print Test Page" by going to Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes , just right click on the printer icon(with a check mark on it) and select properties then click on Print Test Page"... if it still does not print, turn off the computer again, unplug the printer from the back of the computer ( I assume it's connected via USB), then plug the printer on a different usb slot on the computer.. you may have to re-install the drivers. make sure you have the cd for the printer.

Flashing red/green lights

The Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced as soon as possible. You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

and reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the red lights flashing and restore normal operation. However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. If you want to have a go at this yourself, the service manual can be downloaded from

Samsung Printer CLP300

Have you run the Dr. Printer utility that comes with the printer? If not, run that and see what it says. You can download it from the CLP-300 support page at samsung.com.

Stuck on Red

Normally mean fatal error on this machine you can hold the go button down for a couple of seconds and it might give you a secondary light sequence. Normally if the red light is on and nothing happens the most common fault is the fuser unit is not warming up.

You will have to replace the fuser unit, but this all depends on the second light sequence.

Thanks J
