Brown spots on window of microwave

see this steps and fix it.God bless you

  • Waveguide coverSparking and arcing in a microwave can be caused by a damaged waveguide cover. Try removing the waveguide cover to see if the problem persists. Once removed, the waveguide cover can be inspected for burns, which will indicate if this is the issue. If the waveguide cover is burnt or will not stay in the proper spot it will need to be replaced.
  • Cavity/Rack supportIf sparking or arcing in your microwave is near a rack support, any exposed metallic area can be covered with a microwave cavity support. It is also recommended to replace the rack supports in this situation to ensure the issue is resolved.
  • Cavity paintIf sparking or arcing in the microwave is visible on the side walls, the paint covering the metallic areas could have worn off or chipped. This can possibly cause pitting in the side walls or ceiling. If this is the case, it can be repaired with microwave cavity paint

    Homestyles 0.9 cu.ft. Microwave Oven's shielding plate

yes you can but you should not. Take the shielding wall from another similar microwave if possible, the magnetron waves can seep thru the smallest crevasses and will repeatedly cause more damage if not fitted properly, im not so sure what type material is used but more than likely it is non conductive, careful magnetrons are dangerous thats why companies that make microwaves have such strict guidelines and safety measures, there are so many switches to prevent direct exposure to the magnetron, it is so dangerous the goverment developed a weapon from the technology--if your insist on repair please find exact replacement parts- careful and good luck more questions just ask

Turn Table does not turn is it suppose to

One could unplug the power cord and take off the back metal panel.
The turntable runs off a rubber belt.
Be very careful as the capacitor holds one hell of a voltage. It is usually encased by a metal shield... but be very alert.
Do not run the microwave with the cover off..

When operating arcing appears on right wall there is a burnt hole in plate ad arc is in and behind it

This is due to grease or food particles stuck on and behind the waveguide cover, which is the plate you are describing.

The waveguide cover (also called a spatter shield) is usually about the size of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The metal behind the cover should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the paint is damaged or charred on the cavity metal, the area will first have to be sanded smooth and cleaned and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

Since your waveguide cover is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

It provides critical protection for the magnetron.

    Microwave wont heat up

Your signs point to a failed power tube. First though, does it defrost? If it does it is an electrical control problem. If it does not defrost, do the following.... With the power unpluged you may want to remove the outer cover, ( screws at back ), and locate a shiney metal box. That box is shielding for the power tube. Get the part # from the tube and replace. You could check price and availability at www.avnet.com . Make sure you replace all of the shielding exactly the way you found it. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!

This is a simple problem & solution.

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck somewhere in the cavity of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

American Home shield said that the waveguide is burnt

The reality is that microwave ovens have gone way down in price while repairs have gone way up. Go to a Walmart or a K mart and you will find many microwaves in the 50-90 dollar range. Even if you could have your current microwave repaired it is still ten years old, well beyond it's life expectancy.
