After changing cases "no audio Device" HELP

Hello, thanks for looking at this. I have been struggling all week trying to fix this and have decided to ask for help. I was recently given a Sony Vaio Desktop VGC-54G by someone. This computer ran great but the case was so tinny that it was getting ever hot and the fans were running like crazy. I decided to pull the guts out and put them into an older bigger case I had this also allowed me to add another HDD. All was fine when I shut down the computer and after installing everything I was excited to turn it on. When it booted It did not have any audio and much to my surprise the internal audio device was gone. I have tried loading drivers from Sony Vaio page for audio and have reinstalled the bios hoping it owuld force it to detect. I have checked my bios settings and my onboard audio is enabled. I have downloaded CPUID, Smart Driver, Driver genius, and a couple of others and all to no evail. (cpuid is not an updater i know ) This system was running win xp sp2 until i upgraded to win 7 but I did this AFTER the audio stopped working. I have read every forum site and am going insane trying to figure this out. If I can not figure this out today I will cave and buy a sound card. Also windows will not detect any audio devices but my web camera Thanks for any help C

Are you using the green connector on the back of the tower or one fitted to the front?

How do I fix Dell Latitude E5430 audio? Look in the details section for more info.

When this happens, go to device manager in the control panel and look for the audio section under sound video and game controllers. Then delete them and reboot the computer, if it is a driver issue the drivers will reinstall, if it is a hardware issue, they wont and you will know that the sound card chip is bad.

Hello I'm Having Difficulties Setting Up My AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Microphone It's Not Picking Up My Voice At All And I've Looked Through All The Settings And Audio Properties And Everything Is In Order...

Your microphone needs a phantom power supply. Sorry for asking but you don't mentioned anything about any mic-preamplifier or other device. In case you connect the mic direct at the sound card of the PC, this is your problem. Please clarify me your set up in order to make you suggestions.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

G6000 Laptop. Sound suddenly stopped

Hello....
No Sound, No Volume Control, Mixer not Found, No Sound device installed…etc etc, This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this issue began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....

NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service and help everyone affected by this stupidity from Microsoft.

Audio and video controller

Hello.
You should look in the manufacturers website, even if you don't delete the device drivers you can visit their sites in order to find updates( this updates make you system work better, as they fix many problems and add new compatibilities to the updated ones), you might also find this device drivers for other Operating System just in case you want to intall a different one.

Most the time this software are applications, this mean that you only have to do a double click on the file or icon after downloading it.

In the case you don't know what your devices are, go to:
Start - Control Panel - Double click in - System icon - Hardware - Device Manager.
You will find the devices requiring drivers as yellow icons with the name of the device, in your case under - Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
Hope this help.
Godd luck.

Hello

It may be the same problem that I had recently, where it said "No audio device installed", but everything looked fine in Device Manager. (If you don't know how to get there, you can look it up. It's not hard.) If that's the case, all you have to do is restart your computer (possibly a couple times).

If you're fairly certain you actually don't have an audio device installed, try a Google search for audio drivers. There are a ton of websites that can help you find and download the right one for your system. (Check the sponsored ads first!) Hope this helps!

Have you tried changing the Audio Device that windows is using?
Under the Sound and Audio Devices in the ontrol Panel. Under the Audio tab, try the Default Device under Sound playback. Change this to the headphones.
