The exact same thing happened to me. I got my 360 back from RROD repairs. The wired controller worked for a couple weeks but now will not connect and get assigned a quadrant.

My daughter was playing the Assassins Creed: Brotherhood on the Xbox 360 one day, and the game froze. When she took it out of the Xbox console, there was a ring scratched into the back of the CD. I'm...

the ring that happens on the discs is irreversible and is fatally damaging to the disk. your disk is gone. as for the harlequin character that should have been a code either on your receipt from GameStop or other retailer or on a piece of paper inside the game box.

Tip

Xbox Controller to USB Conversion

Did you know the Xbox controller has a USB interface built-in? How would you feel about playing your favorite PC games, with an Xbox controller?

Here is what you will need to get the job done:
  • Xbox Game Controller
  • Male USB Connector
  • Wire Strippers
  • Electrical Tape

1. Using a Male-Female USB extension cable, cut off the male USB adapter, along with a foot or more of cable.

2. You will need to cut off the connector on the Xbox cable, too.
d01133b.jpg

3. Cut the Xbox connector off right at the base, leaving you some room to splice on the USB Male connector.

4. Now strip off about an inch of casing from the end of each exposed cable that we’ll be connecting. There will be a lot of thin silver wires and foil wrapped around a few smaller, colored wires. The silver casing is the shielding, just trim it back enough to expose the colored wires.

5. Using your wire strippers, pull away the casing on each of the colored wires to expose the bare wire.

6. Splice together each wire of the USB adapter to its matching colored wire on the Xbox controller. The Xbox controller has an additional yellow wire, which you can ignore. Use electrical tape to cover up the bare leads, or heat shrink tubing.

7. You should now be able to set up the device and start using it. The first thing to do is to download the XBCD drivers (download here), and run the installer file.

8. Once the drivers are installed, plug in the controller and it should detect and install the drivers for “XBCD XBox Gamepad”. Now go to Programs -> XBCD -> Setup Utility and set up your new gamepad!

I went to turn on my xbox wireless drum kit and the light just came on for a second and then went out so i replaced the batteries, several times but it still wont come on

Well you can try this solution to get it too work. The thing with the XBOX 360 is that it has a hard time syncing with other controllers made by different companies. So try these steps first and see if they work if not you might have got a set of bad drums.
Step 1. Turn on XBOX 360 Step 2. Turn on drums (hold xbox button on drums). Step 3. Press sync button on 360 (XBOX ligh on console should start circling Step 4. Press sync button on drums [under D pad] (xbox light on drums should start circling)
If this doesn't work then you should RMA the drums to http://rockbandservice.ea.com to replace the bad ones.

What do i have to download to play xbox 360 games on the computer?

Sorry, but you cannot play Xbox 360 games on your computer. If you want to connect your 360 to a computer monitor, you can use HDMI if you monitor supports it or pick up a VGA adapter for the Xbox 360

Trying to find somewhere, someone to repair my XBox 360. It shot's down after a few minutes of use and there is memory loss

The best place to get it repaired would be Microsoft. They usually offer that service. If the Xbox is still under warranty I would see if you could convince them to fix it for free. Usually if you are polite but firm about how you have done nothing with the system except for play it, they will fix it for you free of charge. I hope this helps!

What causes E74 on xbox and what can be done to fix this issue?

hi there,
E 74 is basically caused from the xbox overheating. This is a common problem with the older xbox's. What happen is that heat builds up inside the console due to poor heatsinks and poor air circulation inside the xbox, thus causing the video/graphics chip thermal glue/paste to become unseated and causes your xbox to stop working giving you the error code. There are a number of ways to fix this, 1 would be to send back to microsoft if you dont know anything about the console and do not wish to fix your self. 2 the cheaper way :) is if you are handy with technology you can do this yourself and save some money in doing so. The best way to show you is by video guides, rather than writing it down here and trying to follow the steps. There are loads of video guides out there (youtube,360 sites/forums etc..) Just google E74 fix xbox360 and you will find plenty of guides, tips, solutions. Hope this helps

My red drum pad is'nt working how do i repair ps2 drum set

If the red drum isn't working it means there's a problem with your wires. Try seeing if your PS2 controller connectors are all intact, then see if the wire is intact (i.e. if it's not twisted, scathed or severed at certain places) you might also want to try connecting the controller in a different port on your gaming console.
