Question about Dell E173FPf 17" TFT LCD Flat Panel Monitor
Where can I purchase the cable I need to connect the monitor to the hard drive to get the two usb ports on the side of the monitor to work? They did not have one at Staples or Radio Shack.
USB slots on a monitor act as a USB hub, and thus need a USB cable to connect from the monitor to the computer. Check the plug type on the monitor, if will either look likea normal USB plug in near the power and video cables or it might look a little more square; simply get a USB cable of this type (Type A for normal, type B for squarish) to connect from your monitor to a normal USB plug on your computer ( Normal being type A), and it should work.
