Question about HP Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Im using a Non USB headest, it has power, but no sound.

I was using a USB set, it died on me a few days ago, i went and bought a set that plugs directly into my sound card. Its receiving power, but is not putting out sounds.
I have tried an old set of Speakers as well that work on the same set-up, Orange mark goes in orange hole, green in green and so-on. both have no sound, but power.

Download and install the sound drivers for your audio. Go to your manufacturers website and get it.

I just bought these LS11. 2 speakers about a week ago. My HDMI output is plugged into my tv and was the source of sound for a while. Now that Im trying to plug these in, I can't get sound to come on for...

I'm confused - 1. I know that a speaker does not need drivers to operate - they just need an amplified audio signal to produce sound. 2. An HDMI output has a digital video and audio signal to transfer from a source like a computer or DVD player to a destination, like a TV set or an AV system. You might have a problem with your sound card in your computer. I think you're missing a AV component system in your set-up - like a physical receiver or AV hardware.

I'm not getting any sound. Speakers are plugged in but no sound. Was working a few days ago. It's as if the sound programing has been deleted.

Could you specify if it's a computer you're plugging into or a device like an ipod or stereo? If the computer isn't giving you any sound, try the speakers with an ipod or something and then you can narrow down the problem to your sound settings / sound card...

My computer doesnt recongnize the speakers even though i have been using them just fine the last few days..whats wrong?

Hello...
Full details about sound issue in my website...
www.sureshayyar.110mb.com (Support page)

As an alternative u can do this (i am using this solution till date)

If u cant install the sound driver correctly, just buy a " USB Sound Adaptor" and connect it to the USB port and connect the speaker sound jack to the sound port in this adaptor....u will get back the sound....also keep in mind that u " may " have to disable onboard sound in BIOS, u may also have to make changes in the Control Panel / Sound and Audio Devices / Audio Tab / Sound Playback option... Click the drop down button and select the "USB Audio Devices/Headset"

You can get it in Ebay for $1 to $4 or google it to locate a place near u......

This is the one i am refering to(I bought it in Ebay for 1$)....u can buy something similar also....there are many available mfd from China, just plug and play on your USB port....

If you find this solution useful please leave a feedback and rating to this solution.

Regards....
All the best, my dear friend....

Still sounds like my speakers are in mono

Make sure that the speaker config is set to stereo or surround, depending on speaker capabilities. Once you run the speaker config in sound devices you should be all set. Hope this helps.

Speakers Plugged In Right But Wont Turn On??

If the power light on the speakers isn't on, then the power supply going to the speakers is either in a bad outlet (test the outlet with a voltage meter) or the plug isn't firmly seated. Best of luck in your new home and hope this solves your problem.

My speakers only work one at a time...

Check you have plugged them into the correct socket on the back of the PC ..

Chances are you have 3 sockets - first = 'front' (or pair), middle = 'back' (for 4+ speaker sets) and last = 'center & sub-woofer' ..

Sounds like you have plugged into the 'center & sub-woofer' socket :-)

Short Circut, blows fuses instantly.

OK usually the fuse goes because the Amp's IC's are drawing too much current thus the fuse blows... either this OR the Power Supply has gone Kaput. It is possible to replace the output IC's.. as it is to fix the PSU.. But it really is a shop job..
