Good afternoon, i have a HP Officejet Pro L7580 and my printer said change print heads, so i did, now i can not print at all. When i want to print a document, it does not go to my printer? after i changed the printer heads, it asked me to load the original CD for install, i do not have that here and since i cancelled that window, i can not get my printer to communicate with my computer.

To walk you through I'd need to know the OS you are running, but the generic answer is that you need to go into the print driver, and in the Printer Properties, under the ports tab , select the USB002 port rather than the DOT4 port and Apply the changes.

Replacing the print heads fixes any poor print quality you are experiencing. Typically people replace print heads when a certain color (most likely black) is printing very faint or streaky. i order the 8 jan 2010 2 print heads No : 88 (ref hp c9381a for black/yellow and ref hp c9382a for magenta/cyan) and i receive it after 4 days.

I had the same problem. Ended up replacing the black/yellow "printhead" and that corrected the problem.

Re-insert the print cartridges. It is also possible that the heads are burnt. Get a new set of print heads (black/yellow) and install to the printer. If problem persists, clean the contacts on the printers. Use acetone + cotton swabs.
