There are 3 different tones. Press and release the minus button until you find one that suits.

My oven is cooking everything too quick and the flame does not turn down. I think the thermostat has gone, can anyone advise where I can buy a new one.

Model JTP15. Why did beeper on timer quit working?

The beeper failed from old age. Sixteen years is a lifetime + in the appliance business.

When buttons are pushed, no beeping. even when timer is set to go off, no signal that the time has expired

If all other functions are working and you just lost the beep sound then you have to make this choice. The beeper is actually mounted on the main control board. If it has gone bad--the only way to fix it is to replace the complete main control board which is an expensive part. One thing to check in your owners manual is if your control has a way to change the sound level of the beeper. If yes--it may have accidentally got shut off if it has that type settings.

Timer very soft cannot hear it

Ive heard of this before. Many oven Manufacturers use clockwork timers which give 1 faint "ting" noise when finished. Others use electronic ones, which are not much better. If you are not standing next to the oven, you cant hear it. I usually recommend a separate timer , like a water timer or egg timer type thing which you can set (and Hear) and leave it near where you are working so you can go and turn the oven off. These can normally be purchased at Smiths, Tandys etc maybe Big W or K Mart

How to get over a problem with a quiet alarm

Just get over it, it's not important. Get a hearing aid. It's most likely your ears have aged and the alarm is just as loud as before. What?
It's also possible that the little noise maker has a hole to allow the sound out and has become clogged with dripping pizza, chicken fat, grease vapors, or because it's an electronic device in a hot box it may need replacing.

Some how I've turned the sound of my timer so quiet I can't hear it. How do I turn it up loud again, I lost my manual? :o( Angie

Without your model number this is an outright guess. Press menu, enter then settings until you see sound display then use the UP arrow to increase the volume and press enter again to save the settings. If you want a better answer I need your model number to better help you change the volume.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

unfortunately there is no way of increasing volume of the bleep. its basically a simple beeper on the timer with no way of adjusting.
sorry cant be of much more help but what i will say is you should contact hotpoint about this problem as obviously is a design flaw.

I would inspect the circuit board closely for a shorted component. If visually it appears normal it is likely the control board will have to be replaced. Eric

Jenn-Air Electric Oven - F-1 Code

You can disconnect the beeper so its not so annoying. turn oven off at breaker first. pull out oven a little so you can get at the top 2 screws on each side. The speaker is between the boards on the display module.
look for a red wire connected to a gold disc like speaker. remove this wire and you won't hear the beeping anymore.
