SOURCE: soleus mac 12-k air conditioner runs for 45

first of all an amp reading needs to be taken to see how many amps the AC is drawing. It may be too much for the breaker. Also see what else may be wired in on the same circuit, there may be additional load on the breaker. If all amp readings are below the rating for the breaker then you may have a faulty breaker, but that's pretty unlikely. The most probable cause is you are overloading the circuit.

The furnace kicks on then shuts off within a few minutes but the blower is still running. the light blinks 4 times and the code thing says it is a high limit valve open/ What and where is that/

Check your air filter, make sure all ducts are wide open and no restrictions for both hot air registers and cold air returns. Make sure room air blower is operating. You may want to inspect the exhaust pipe to make sure it has no restrictions as well.

Compressor will cut on run a few minutes and shut off hot air

The compressor is probably going out on overload. There may be a small refrigerant leak thus making the compressor run hotter than usual. If there is not enough refrigerant in the system, the compressor will not get the refrigerant back to it to keep it cool. This is a safety feature built into the compressor to keep it from overheating and locking up. You may want to take it to your local appliance store and have it looked at. Most of the time it usually is cheaper to buy a new unit than to pay for just the labor to have them fixed.
