the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Why does toshiba nb300 no operating system found?

Have you been in the bios? If not, maybe your boot order is set to start look at a usb slot or dvd drive. Just remove any media out of them and restart. If you've been, go back in and check te boot order. If needed , change the order back so that it starts booting with the main HDD. If that don't work your HDD can be corrupted/broken..

I bought this toshiba satellite m20 in an auction. its asking for an administrator password. HOw can i remove the password?

Is the BIOS asking for a password or is Windows asking for a password? If it's the BIOS then you might never get the password off. Seldom can you remove the password from a laptop's BIOS without already knowing the password. If it's Windows that's asking for the password, then try reinstalling your operating system. This will get rid of the password and anything else that may be lurking around in the computer from the previous owner.

You have a real old clunker. Contact Toshiba, you might be lucky, but don't hold your breath.
You maybe able to locate MS Quick Basic (use Google search) or get a copy of Visual Basic, install the Basic program and convert your old Basic programs.

I recently installed windows xp on my computer and everything on the screen is stretched out. When I tried to adjust the resolution, it didnt have a setting for 1280 x 800 or whatever the right setting is...

actually you can't change it on the windows itself, you can adjust it on the bios.. just find it there. i don't know what your bios look like but trust me its in there. i have the same problem last year when i reformat my laptop. but i just figured that its just in the bios, now its working good. i hope this would help you

How do i open the bios?

When you start you computer, you'll need to fit a key F1-F12 depending on your motherboard's model and you can access the bios. This F1-F12 number is usually displayed quickly before the motherboard boots off of the boot device, and it can likely be found in a reference manual

Sound device

Hi candy man1, I found the link to your Toshiba Satellite L25-S121.
What I was looking for is drivers for your notebook but I found little in that area. (As seen at this link:)
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/askIris.jsp
With little information, (A manual in English would be nice). I could guide you to enter the bios & check if the sound device is enabled or set to auto. (It may be set to disable). The link above includes, (Toshiba PC Diagnostic Tool for Windows XP/2000). You can download it & install it. It may help find the reason your notebook sound is not functioning. (The single beep at start up is normal).
Please run windows update service for your notebook. Click the start button & slide to All programs. Listed at the top should be an icon, (Window Update), click on it & it should run.
Let me know how things go. Post here.
