Question about Fender 4 Channel Powered Mixer with 10 in Speakers System

1 Answer

Want to hook up CD player to Squire powered mixer, 4 channel

How is the best way to hook up a CD player to the Squire 4 channel powered mixer for use in playing background tracks for solo work. Also, can a floor monitor be used so that only tracks will come through and not have the mic in the mix? I am not technically literate, so need simple answers please!!

Quick start on the connections to cd

Depends a little on which version you have. For v1.4, just connect the CD player's L & R outputs to the mixer's 2-track L & R inputs - RCA to RCA.

The older(?) version refers to the 2-track in as Aux In.

You can also connect the CD outputs to one of the two stereo inputs - 3/4 or 5/6. Use RCA to 1/4" TS.

You would need a Stereo jack to RCA cable. Input into Aux channel in rear, make sure your switch on faceplate is set to Aux. You may also need to turn up volume on the ipod.

Numark Mixer

This sounds like someting is out of phase. Can you describe all of the connections you have to the amp and speakers. Double check them as well to be sure that the positives are connected to the same terminals on the amp and speakers. If that is OK, we'll start looking inside the mixer.

I'm have'n a problem

You should be connecting this product to a dj mixer because this unit has no internal mixer. To accomplish this you should connect the two outputs lines for channel 1 from this cd player to the two input lines on channel 1 of your mixer and the same for channel two, connect channel two from your cd player to the channel two input on your mixer and then hook your mixer to a amplifier, then amplifier to speakers.
