Thermostat wiring diagram for ARUF3642

There should be a wiring diagram inside one of the covers on your air handler. Here is a link to a site that I believe is for your model:

I need the schematics so i can install the thermestat

There should be a wiring diagram with the new thermostat you can follow.
If not, remove the control panel cover from the outside unit and follow the diagram printed on the inside of the cover.
If there is not a diagram there, remove the panel from the indoor unit and use the diagram printed there.

If not one there tell us what brand thermostat and what terminals are on it and we can tell you which wire goes where.

I think this is a Goodman unit. Check the yellow pages for a Goodman dealer. They can help you with that. The unit is pretty old but they might be able to find you one

Need a manual for a goodman

An owners manual will only tell you when to and not to operate the out door ac. And give you some maintenance tips.

A technical manual will have a wire diagram maybe a mollier diagram or other diagram for recommended pressures and temperatures and maybe some trouble shooting tips (but not likely) on things like checking power in and thermostat settings.

If you need anything in particular please be specific about your trouble and post it. If you post back with more trouble I'll try to help you more.

If this helps you please rate me as high as possible.
Thank you for using fix ya and GOOD LUCK!

MY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK IN EMERGENCY MODE

the thermostat sub base has a place to connect a wire usually white to energize the heat strips when you push the stat way hotter than the house temp. that is why the strips come on in normal heat. it also has a terminal that is only energized in emergency heat and it also should have a wire connected to it so that terminal can supply power to the strips when the stat is switched into emerg heat . you can identify the terminal from the wiring diagram and if need be jumper w2 wire over to the aux terminal and it will work. they both go back into the airhandler and power the same strips. w2..................................................................................................w2 in airhandler to strips or w2...jumper to aux......................................................................................................................w2 in airhandler to strips.

Are you saying no lights on the control board light up as well? If so, check the door switch, Emergency switch, breaker and lastly, the power to the furnace. If you can see a light but the system is not working, check for any error code (flashing) and look at the wiring diagram on the back of the service door. Also, there is a small fuse that you may want to inspect. If you do have a light on, jump out R and G on the control board and make sure you push in on the door safety switch. Let us know what you discover!
