Question about Dryers
The swivel head joint on our pedestal fan is broke. The part is made of plastic and cannot be repaired. I would like to buy a new piece if possible.

I have seen a number of oscillating fans where the push-pull knob just pulls off. It will require a serious pulling effort - straight up. Do Not use any tools. You may have to have a helper hold the fan while you pull the knob.
After the knob comes off, push the shaft back down with your finger to allow it to clear the housing.

SOURCE: Need plastic clips that hold
They're not available as spare parts and never were. Plastic cable ties are extremely cheap and widely available and should do the job fairly neatly as long as you cut off the excess protruding ends after fastening them. But you'll have to cut them and replace with new every time the screens need to come apart so keep a few spares handy somewhere convenient..
