when i press tv on the remote it indicates current analog channel.
what is wrong?

What is the model number of the Television?

Are you trying to tune in local digital broadcast signals (AKA "OTA" or Over-The-Air?)

Or, are you plugging some cable (CATV) feed directly into the TV and expecting it to tune digital cable channels?
