WELLTECH 40699 FKH51A repair

I the red led only comes on dimly, the new batteries are suspect, or they are not charged. You need to establish if its the headphones or the batteries at fault. To check the headphones remove the batteries and connect up some none rechargeable battery of the same voltage to the headphone battery connections. To check the batteries use a multimeter to measure the voltage at their terminals while they are out of the headphones. If its low compared to the value printed on them, you can either try more new batteries again, or replace the headphones completely.

How do you insert the batteries into the headphones of TX1000

Are there any removable parts, sliders or covers? If so remove them to check for a place for the batteries. The ones that don't have a place to put them, carefully re-attach.

How do i use my infared headphones and can i use them on my laptop

You should be able to use infrared headphones with your laptop. You don't give a brand or model, but they're all pretty much the same. The transmitter connects to an audio source (and to a power source as well, so you'll need an AC outlet nearby) with the appropriate cable, and you just put the headphone on and turn on the power. Some headphones take regular batteries, while others have a rechargeable battery like a cordless phone; those are recharged when you hang the headphones back on the transmitter.

The couple of infrared headphone systems I've used both had RCA input jacks. The headphone jack on a laptop takes a 1/8-inch mini-stereo plug, so you'll need an adapter with a regular stereo patch cord (RCA plugs at both ends) or a cable with the right plug on the computer end and RCA plugs at the other. Radio Shack sells both.

If you have questions about your headphones, you can usually find a downloadable manual at the manufacturer's website.

I have 2 sets of Sony MDR-RF970R Wireless Headphones. On set works O.K. The other loses contact with the base intermittantly. Sometimes it reconnects and other times when I operate the headband switch...

Are you using the rechargeable battery that was supplied or have you ever replaced it?

If you're still using the same rechargeable battery then it's probably worth trying a decent set of AAA alkaline batteries or other rechargeable batteries.

If this doesn't solve your problem then you're probably right in the fact that there's a fault or loose connection in the automatic headband switch. The only real repair solution would be to have a look at them yourself as taking them anywhere for repair wouldn't be cost effective.

How do I open Audio-technica ATH-911's? One of th...

First of all: This headphones don't have a single srew. So be extremely
carefull as everything is glued !

#1 - Removing the logo plate
This isn't need to reach the wires. Just for cleaning purposes.
Remove de soft ring-pillow from the earing.
Remove the textil thick black ring that is glued by the internal outside gently.
Look for the three black metal small wings that belong to the logo plate and
are inserted to the internal side and are glued and/or bended. Unbend them.
Then pull this wings in order to extract the plate by the outside side the logo plate.

#2: Accessing the speaker and it's wires.
This is a very carefull procedure. A mistake and you'll have scrap instead!
Remove the soft ringed pillow from the earing. In the border that the black
sinthetic leader was inserted, insert a medium screwdriver. Gently swing
the driver up and down in order to separate the plastic disc that supports
the ringed pillow from the outside hat of the earing. Do this in circles for
a couple of times or until you begin to ear the glue lightly cracking. After
this the plstic disk separates from the outside hat and all the electric
wiring and speaker are free to repair.

NOTE: A piece of advice: do NOT use instant glue or cyanide glue to
re-assemble. It would be the last repair!

Problems with the headphone jack

you can try 2 things:
first thing:
remove the battery from the unit, if it is removable
grab some contact cleaner/rejuvinator and lightly coat a headphone plug with it, insert it into the headphone jack on the mp3 player and rotate it a few times, repeat 4-5 times.. then let everything dry for 5-10 minutes, pop battery back in and try it. if you don't have contact cleaner/rejuvinator, you can also use 70% or greater rubbing alcohol.

second thing:
if the first didn't work, you can remove the batteries, disassemble the unit, and replace the headphone jack itself. if you do not have experience with de-soldering, soldering, and potentially smd soldering techniques, i don't recommend this option. you may be able to get a local general electronics repair shop (tv/stereo) to replace the part for you for a nominal fee.

hope this helps,
