SOURCE: My Elnasuper makes a whirling noise but none of the moving parts will move. Light works and I tried the foot pedal on another machine and it is fine. Any ideas?

This is a machine with the motor and belts hidden inside right? Your belt is broke. While you can replace yourself... it's likely that it threw the machine out of time... and it is very easy to through the machine out yourself when you replace the belt yourself (ha! ask me know I know!)

If everything works when you use the hand wheel... take it in and have the belt replaced.

SOURCE: The machine runs constantly when

My machine is acting quirky too. I have a Singer Professional 2010 and it just started jumping from side to side when in straight stitch, also it won't turn off when I take the foot off the pedal. I don't know what the problem is. I have a whole pile of stuff to finish for Christmas and now I'm in a real bind!

there could be something wrong with the foot pedal, it may need to be serviced or replaced, or there could be something wrong with the plug where the foot pedal plugs into

Why is it that as soon as I plug in the foot pedal the machine starts?

The foot control is a simple device with a resistance value that, as the foot control is depressed, the value diminishes and the machine runs faster. The cause of an immediate run condition will be the result of the following:
1. The cable or plug has been damaged so as to connect both wires to create a maximum run state. 2. Most common to the foot control itself is that the actuator for the slide resistor is broken and stuck in the max run spot as well as having been disconnected from the on/off micro switch. 3. The foot control has been taken apart and improperly assembled. SewTechnical Home

My janome feedomatic compact sewing machine gone's wild. As soon as i plugged it on,itautomatically runs at full blast! Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I cant see any auto buttons on

unplug the foot controller to eliminate it as the problem ,however if the machine does not run like mad as soon as you switch it on
without the foot pedal then you have isolated the problem to the foot pedal,it could be stuck on full speed .

My daughter's brand new, right out of the box Janome 2212 machine is not working. The foot pedal is not engaging the motor so the needle doesn't move up and down. The wheel is pushed in as it

Sorry, but gotta ask is it plugged in and turned on? Check before you answer. (I ask this because it happened to me, set up, ready to go, and no power. After an hour and the machine was in pieces, My son asked if i plugged it in and I snapped "YES, DUH" not seeing him twirling he plug in his hand...he informed me that you must be 10% smarter than anything you operate or eat....at which point he was happy to inform me, the machine was 11% smarter. If it is plugged in and turned on, is the plug to the foot pedal plugged all the way in? Is the machine on? If you get zero reaction, no movement or sound of any kind, the foot pedal my be faulty, it can happen. Take it back to the dealer and they should replace the entire machine or the foot pedal. Good luck and happy sewing.

What's your problem?Have a TOYOTA EZT9000 and it seems to have slowed quite a bit. Does it need oil? If so, where do I put it in?

there are other things that can cause the machine to slow down
like the motor, foot pedal, have you checked these things first
1. is the power cord plugged into the outlet securely
2. is the power cord plugged into the machine correctly
3. is the foot pedal plugged into the machine correctly
4. is the cord to the foot pedal caught in the foot pedal
if none of these are the problem, then the machine needs to be serviced
to see why it's running slow

Wiring a foot control pedal for Singer Slant-o-Matic 401G sewing machine, banana socket. The machines listed are newer models and my 401 is not listed.

Faboulous machine the 401 and the best machine ever made, in the UK if I remember the two red wires go to the right hand pin and thw two blacks go to each terminal, when you rewire the plug which is fidly undo the stop motion, when you plug the machine in if it runs on without touching the foot control change the two black wires over, to rewire the foot control there are only two wires, you can't go wrong.
