Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
I have 2 recovery discs p/n: dd.ale00.010 and1 p/n: sd.aj800.012.
(I have formatted my windows 98 many times so I am capable)
Reason for formatting is due mainly to the misfunction of the Matshita
uj-8505. Code 10 is displayed after uninstall of the drive and restart. The driver is the "correct available".
I have not tried to use the discs yet. The discs may not start and I want confirmation that nothing will go wrong if I try. (unless all else fails)
Thanks in advance for any advice. Jeff.
You don't need to format you hard drive, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Start Registry Editor loadTOCNode(3, 'whattotry'); Start->Run->type regedit and click OK.
Step 2: Delete the UpperFilters registry entry loadTOCNode(3, 'whattotry');
Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only.
Note You might see a LowerFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click LowerFilters only.
If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content is unable to help you any more. Go to the "Next Steps" section for information about how you can find more solutions or more help on the Microsoft Web site.
