Chainsaw bar is dry. Chainsaw is full of oil.

Chainsaw runs fine but bar is dry. I drained oil and blew line out. Refilled but still no oil on chain. Everything else seems to be working fine.

My best guess is that your oil pump has gone bad.

Oil not coming out on the bar

Check chain oil reservoir, assuming it is full and pathways are clear, your oil pump might be toast , or not set up properly. Usually, there is an adjusting screw. Don't run it dry.

If it is bar oil then the gasket is leaking between the oil tank and the crankcase, this would mean a full strip down and replace the gasket.

Sounds like the ports on the bar are possibly clogged with debris or the oil lines going down to the bar are clogged. Check both of them to see if that might be the problem.

No oil to chain

Remove the bar and chain. Run the saw for a few moments--it should ooze out oil from a side port where the bar fits to. If ok, clean the drive end of the bar oil passages, particularly the two small channels that run from the large holes out to the chain groove on each side. Clean the entire chain groove. If no oil came out of the port, the oil pump, connecting lines, and tank filter require attention. When everything is back together, run the saw for a few moments with the tip near some cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil onto the cardboard. Hope this helps.

Chain will not stay oiled

Remove the bar and chain and clean the side of the engine where the bar fits. There is an oil port there that should ooze oil out when the engine is running fairly fast. If it does, then clean the drive end of the bar (large oil holes out to the chain groove on each side. Also clean the entire groove and oil the sprocket on the outer end (if equipped). If oil did not ooze out of the port, the oil pump, oil filter, and any intervening lines should be inspected. Once you have oil proceeding from the port, reassemble the bar and chain. Check for proper oiling by running the outer tip of the bar (at speed) near to a piece of cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil onto the cardboard. Hope this helps!

unleaded fuel is notorious for going stale, and it can leave a resinous coating in the carb-try running the saw on half choke with new gas and less oil eg 50 to 1 for say ten minutes, this should clear the gunk out-if this does not work, you have two choices-strip and clean the carb,or adjust the H (high) scew on the carb anti-clockwise by a quarter turn a time till it revs out full bore-good idea to remove the chain and wear ear defenders when adjusting-and always use a chainsaw at its max rpm,or you run the risk of "kickback"

Wen electric chain saw -is it doa?

Are you pressing the trigger lock with your thumb before you pull the trigger? That's a safety feature to prevent accidental sawing.

There's not a sensor for the oil, but you don't want to run the saw dry. It takes a special bar/chain oil which is thicker than motor oil.

FYI... if you look for a manual on the web, search for "Wagner chainsaw" because Wagner bought the chainsaw business from Wen.

a fix that sometimes works is to add kerosene to oil tank where the oil would go normally and rev saw several times with out load holding blade in down position over a piece of dry card board so you can see the oil spraying on the piece of cardboard careful of moving chain

Sounds like th clutch brake is engaged. Try Pushing firmly foward on the hand guard in front of the handle. It should click to release the clutch brake.
