Removing blades from a john deere eztrak z425

I have the same problem. 3/4 in. too big, 11/32 too small, 19mm too big, 17 mm too small. I don't have a 18mm or 21/64 in any of my wrench sets because they are not common sizes. I guess I'll have to contact JD.

First thing is to find the small hole on the plastic piece below the drive socket and remove the silicone in from it. Next turn the drive socket until the little arrow on the drive socket lines up with the hole, then look thru the hole to see the allen wrench screw in there loosen screw to remove drive socket.

Heater, and air conditioning not working. All fuses and relay switches are functional, but no power to heater.

  • Disconnect the ground cable from the negative battery terminal by loosening the retaining bolt and pulling the clamp off the terminal.
  • Locate the heater motor access panel. It will be a flat piece of black plastic underneath the dash on the passenger side of the Caravan, just behind the glove box. Use a socket to remove the five screws that secure the access panel to the dash.
  • Disconnect the plastic electrical connector from the heater motor by prying the retaining tab away from the connector with a flat-head screwdriver and pulling the connector off the motor.
  • Use a socket to remove the four screws that secure the heater motor to the dash. Pull out the heater motor and fan blades as an assembly.
  • Remove the nut in the center of the fan blades that secure the fan blades to the motor's shaft.

I would like to know the best way to change the blades on a42in lawn tractor it has 2 blades thanks

The very best and easiest way to remove the blades is with an air impact wrench. With an impact wrench it is simple as you do not even have to hold the blade, but with a ratchet and socket you must hold the blade while trying to remove the bolt. Use a piece of wood to wedge the blade so it cannot move.

I do not have a manual for my mastercraft maximum 13 inch planer and would like to know how to remove the blades for sharpening

If it is anything like my 12 1/2 inch mastercraft planer you will need to remove the dust guide first, and then the drum with the blades will be visible. To remove the blades you need to loosen the bolts with the appropritate sized crecent wrench. Seems to be the only part of my planer that does not require an allen wrench actually.

It sounds like your mowing deck is too close to the ground. Can you adjust the blade height with a lever? I have a Craftsman riding mower, my deck height is adjusted manually with the use of a locking level shifter, be sure yours is set to the proper minimum height and this will eliminate driving the blades into the turf.
