Question about Nokia 6600

Backlight goes off too quickly when I am trying to read texts or take down details of numbers stored on the phone.

Hmm...... Open ATMT settings n U'll b asked to enter ATMT code. Enter 000000. Now, enter ur details n other phone numbers if U've r else enter ur friends/ family mems num(Only 3 numbers can b stored). When U change d SIM while ATMT is activated, a message correspondng ur details n newly inserted sim number gets messaged to d numbers dat U've stored...... Njoy......

Phone display is very dim-can barely read


Well, first you will have to check your options, if you can read it enough to get in there.  You may have the backlight turned off.  If the backlight is not turned off, then you probably have a bad backlight and will have to take it to your provider to get it fixed.  Replacing a screen/backlight is not something I would attempt to do unless you are certain you know exactly what you are doing as you can render the phone completely useless.

I can't send any message or recive


How can I use the messaging features on my Motorola phone? space.gif space.gif answer.gif To send a text message:
  • Enter your Message menu
  • Scroll to Create Message and Select
  • In the To: field, either enter a telephone number**, e-mail address**, or Browse your Phonebook, Received or Dialed Calls list.
  • Enter your message in the MSG: field
  • Select done when you have completed the To: and MSG: fields
  • Confirm that you would like to send the message now
Please note that text messaging is a service provided by your cellular service provider and you must subscribe to this service to have the capability to send text messages. Certain carriers may require alternate instructions.
**Please contact your carrier for further information on these services, and to ensure they support sending to both a telephone number and/or e-mail address.
To send a text message - Select Menu, Messages, Create Message, and then New TXT Msg

To Store Message Objects - Go to a multimedia message slide, or highlight an object in a letterand select Menu, and then Store
To send or create a quick note message - Select Menu, Messages, and then Quick Notes
To view sent messages - Select Menu, Messages, and then Outbox
To read received messages - Select Menu, Messages, and then Inbox
Tip: Press Menu to perform various operations on the message.
To view messages saved in drafts folder - Select Menu, Messages, and then Drafts
To delete all messages or only messages from the Outbox or drafts folder: Select Menu,; Messages, and then Cleanup Messages

Error 96 While text messaging, Help please?


I have the same problem. You have to use the area code, the full 10 digit number. Even the phone numbers stored in your memory need to include the area code for the text to send.

Razr has no backlight


that happened to me too but i didnt get mine wet, it did the same as yours though my dad took out the battery for a while and then put it back in and it was fine! :) goodluck! only now it wont turn on! lol but it isnt from that.
