SOURCE: The security alarm on my 1996 BMW 750iL goes on

2 most likely causes are: 1: a faulty hood switch.Check for the switch around the microfilter housings near the strut towers. 2: a faulty interior sensor. If you are sitting in the driver's seat. Look directly above your head in the center of the car. Pull the cover at the edges. You should see a sensor inside the cover. Unplug the sensor and retest your system.

SOURCE: Have a 96 VS holden calais the drivers door

aaahhh...im glad i have someone that gives enough information to solve your proble,......the short answer is the drivers door lock motor.......the info that you provided proves that the remote is communicating with the vehicle, and that the wiring is good and sound......the part that you ned to know and understand is that door lock motors come in 2 main types. Master and Slave.
The back doors are slaves and they do what the master tells them, self-explanatory.
The front doors are masters. On the calais, there is an option for 2 stage unlocking, where one press of the remote opens the drivers door only, and the second press, unlocks the rest commanded by the passenger door, which is a master.
The master door locks have a remote section and a hardwire section. The hardwire section works because unlock/lock of the drivers door commands all the others but the remote section (electric motor - push/pull) is not working, hence it wont work by itself.

get yourself a 2nd hand drivers door lock motor and this will fix all your problems

hope this helps

Passenger door open

BMWs have solenoid actuated door locks (electric box that sits on top of the door latch - some years integrated into latch) that electrically "deadbolt" the locks. The door panel will have to be removed with door locked/closed (may result in damage to panel), electrical mechanism removed from latch, and latch manually unlocked. It's a very effective theft deterrent system, but when it fails, it can be a severe pain. The failure is quite common; they should almost be a regular service/replacement item on BMWs.

Hope this helps,

It's unkiely that all the door actuators are bad. The problem sounds like a voltage loss to the circuit. Check the fuses for the door locks.

I need to know how to remove the drivers door panel to access the door lock actuator

You did not mention your year or model, so I cannot help you very much, but these instructions are for one of the most common body styles out there so they may be of help. http://www.frontiernet.net/~papi/Speaker.htm
On anything since the mid-1990s, nearly all of the electronics in the door are contained within the actuator, so snapping in a new one will fix about anything that can go wrong. Just make sure that the new one is in the correct 'mode' (locked or unlocked) to match the door lock state when you try to snap it in so all the holes line up with the lock mechanism and it snaps down straight.

How to remove the in door of a 1990 bmw 325i? And also the drivers door will not lock when i turn the key the other doors lock but the drivers door doesnt how should i go about fixing that?

Sounds like you need to replace the power door lock actuator for the driver's door.

E30 Models
  1. Remove the door panel and the water shield.
  2. Disconnect the wiring from the actuator. Remove the screws and pull the actuator off the linkage.
  3. When installing, move the actuator and linkage to the locked position.
  4. Connect the linkage to the actuator and loosely install with the screws.
  5. Compress the actuator drive to take out any play in the linkage and tighten the screws.
  6. Test the locks and install the door panel.

E36 Models
  1. Remove the door panel and water shield.
  2. On the front doors, remove the guide rail nut and pull the guide rail down. Disconnect the wiring and the linkage from the actuator.
  3. On the rear doors, remove the window and the access panel. Disconnect the wiring and the linkage from the actuator.
  4. Remove the 3 bolts holding the latch and actuator to the door structure.
  5. Install in reverse order using threadlocker on the bolts.

Describe how to replace a 96 camry rear passenger door power lock actuator

You will need to remove the door panel, mounted inside the door you will find the lock actuator, it should have a rod connecting attached to the lock cylinder, also there should be an electrical connector. Disconnect the rod and the electrical connector and remove actuator from the door.

I have a 2003 Tiburron with a bad drivers side door lock actuator

what is wrong exactly? Because i bought a new lock actuator thinking it was that part, but it wasn't. It was actually the lockrod piece on the lock (above the drivers handle). That was broken. It could be that. Go to Hmaservice.com Register with them. They always help me with troubleshooting
