SOURCE: trying to connect wii wireless through my westell

It appears that the wii wants to work with wap security not wep. Need to go into the router with the 192.168.200.1 gateway. Next o to the security tab. Set up wap2 security password. On the drop down menu choose tkip and aes (both) setting. On the wii I would clear out the wireless settings and then set up a new wireless connection. Search for said and choose your router. Hit connect and enter your password. Save settings and have the wii connect, should get a connection successful message. Grab some popcorn and enjoy Netflix.

SOURCE: I cannot establish a wireless connection to my wii

Find the name and password for your network on the bottom of your modem. S/N or WEP is usually the password.

Go to yoru Wii, open up setup for your wireless network. Enter the name and password from your modem in this area and save it. Then choose connect. This should solve your connection problem. Then go to websites and enter in "Netflix" in the search area. Make sure you have already set up your netflix account on a regular pc through the internet first. Log into your account and start choosing movies.

How to fix error code 51099

This is the error code when the wireless card on your Wii is having trouble connecting to the wireless network. It could be the SSID (wireless network ID) was input incorrectly, or if you have used this before, it might also indicate a problem with the router.
If your other devices are connecting OK, I would reset your wireless connection and create a new one for your Wii.
While you didn't mention any specifics about your router or which wireless adapter you are using for your Wii, but if you continue to have problems you may want to use a different wireless security.
If you want to try this but don't know how, please re-post and make to provide the brand and model # of your router and wireless device.
We used a wired adapter for our Wii and it works perfectly.

I am trying to get my wii to hook up to my verizon wireless internet and am unable to get it to accept the ssid on the broadband box, any suggestions?

Make sure that the encryption type is wep, wpa or wpa2 personal. These are all the wii supports.

next follow this guide.

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/getOnline/index.jsp

if that guide does not work for you then get up to part 5 and select MANUAL SETUP and follow the instructions there. following this link http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/getOnline/manual.jsp

depending on the verizon wireless internet you are using could matter. if this is DSL and you have the westell 7500 then you should be ok. if you are regular dsl adn you have YOUR OWN router added on then you need to make sure in the router wireless b/g is enabled and not N or b/g/n hybred.

if you are usign verizon wireless's new access point object you will be out of luck for it uses a vpn dial in protocol.
