Question about Ricoh Aficio SP C242SF
When removing a paper jam, a plastic bar running across the printer broke off. It has pegs on either end and "teeth" on one side which face away from the opening. Each peg also had springs on them. This piece is seen when opening the front panel and is under the section labeled to change from paper to envelopes. Can I order this part and repair it myself? What is this part called? What do the springs hook to?

Found solution myself.. The paper sensor arm with flag and sensor was missing from the exit side located on the fuser assembly.. Customer apparently broke off prior to calling for us to repair. Solution-replaced fuser assembly clean and tested works great

SOURCE: RICOH Aficio 150 Paper Jam Reset
There is not a reset for jams in service mode. Did you open and close all the doors and make sure they are closed all the way. Most likely you still have a small piece of paper left some where in the paper path or you may have a broken sensor flag.

First try switching off and on the printer to reset the error.
If still there the error check the following;
Better to contact an engineer.
Goodluck and please rate me, thanks.

I would check to see if the paper is even making it out of the tray. A lot of times, the feed rollers can get dirty, and the printer will display a jam if it doesn't feed in time. If the feed rollers look ok, then I would check and see if the feed rollers are even turning. Sometimes the motor that turns the feed rollers wears out.
