Tsurumi pump 40pu2.15s my pump only humming and stop pumping water. what is the cause?

Most likely cause is a blocked impeller. Disconnect from power supply, remove pump from sump, take off pump base to expose impeller and check for freedom of rotation. If all appears OK and pump still just hums it could be a blown capacitor - unless you really know what you are doing I suggest you employ an experienced expert to proceed further. ND lites up

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

ND is No Drain. Check to see that the pump is running, the drain hose is NOT kinked or folded and that the filter is clean. If a garment made it into the sump it will block the pump inlet and washer with not drain.

The pump is Item 11 of this link:
You can access it from the rear access panel. First check to see that it running and then check to see that there is not any debris in the pump. Knowing your going to have to deal with a water mess when you remove hoses.... Remove the tub to pump hose and see if the the tub sump is clear. ( I use a sacrificed wire coat hanger! ) Use your finger to see if you can rotate the impeller freely. Then inspect the impeller area of the pump for any coins or debris... remove same.. re-install hoses and test. Just make sure that the pump to house drain hose is not kinked or clogged.

If the pump is not running perform a resistance check across the 2 motor connection terminals. No resistance = open pump motor winding.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I have a SP 300 Pedestal Sump Pump that isn't pumping out the water in my crawlspace and the motor is constantly running.

I would check the input of the pump, exit and the hoses for being plugged up. The shaft of the motor may also not be connected to the pump impeller for some reason. Sometimes the impeller gets clogged with junk. Take the pump out, and clean it out first and see if that solves your problem. you can test it in a 5 gallon pail filled with water.

How to troubleshoot toilet sump pump?

Unplug the sump pump. Bail out the sump pump to expose the pump's machinery.

Inspect the rod attached to the motor on the top of the sump pump. Move it up and down manually to see if it moves smoothly. Corrosion will keep the rod from moving smoothly. Clean the float road with steel wool.

Inspect the float ball. If it contains water, you need to replace it. Unscrew the float ball from the end of the float rod and screw on a replacement float ball.

Inspect your sump pump's check valve. It has an arrow on it. The arrow should be pointing away from the pump. If it's pointing towards the pump, remove and reinstall the check valve.

Locate the small weep hole between the check valve and the pump. Clean it out with a pipe cleaner.

Inspect the impeller, which is the fan-like piece that sits near the bottom of the pump's tank. If it is clogged by debris, then it will not turn properly. Unbolt the impeller and clean away any debris you find. Reinstall the impeller with new gaskets and sealant. Locate and replace the mesh filter in the sump pump, since only a damaged or missing filter would allow debris to get near the impeller.
Below is troubleshooting work, web link, through to assist you in that.

My GE Nautilus DW doesn't fully drain. When it is drained as much as it will it leaves water in the sump at the rear right. If you run the pump at that point, it sucks water out of the sump, but when you...

HI. check the following areas for fualts.

1. Air gap / Drain hoses
If there is an air gap (located in the sink, near the faucet), check to see if it is clogged. Unscrew the top cap and see if there is anything blocking inside. Note: If there is no air gap installed, the dishwasher might not drain properly.

If the drain hose is clogged, the dishwasher would not drain. If there is an air gap installed, it is very common that a hose going from the air gap into the garbage disposer is clogged. Remove and clean the hose. Make sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher.

Note: If you recently had a garbage disposer installed, it is common to overlook removing the drain plug.

2. Broken belt
Some dishwasher models use a belt to drive the pump. Replace the belt if found broken.

Note: Sometimes the belt would just come off the pump. Even though it might not be broken, it is recommended that you replace the belt, because it is probably too stretched out.

3. Pump
Some models have two impellers inside the pump - one, wash impeller, takes care of the wash cycles, the other, drain impeller, drains the water out. If the drain impeller is broken (broken blades, shaft), the dishwasher would not drain. Replace any broken pump components.

4. Drain solenoid
Some models (for example most GE dishwashers) use a drain solenoid to drain water out. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck, preventing the water from draining out. Try to free up the solenoid. If unsuccessful, you might have to replace the pump assembly.

5. Motor
If the motor is stuck, it is sometimes possible to free it up by manually spinning the motor.

Replace the motor if defective.

6. Timer or control
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

Impeller rotates, seems to work well, o-rings appear to be OK, but pump will not draw water through the pump

this usually indicates an air leak in the plumbing. it will **** air because it is easier than water if there is a leak in the plumbing.

Sump pump not pumping water properly

If your pump is turning then something is stopping the water from being removed. If you can see the pump check to see if the water is becoming turbulent when the pump kicks on? If the water doesn't appear to move or is moving only a little then either the pump impeller is damaged or the screen that keeps debris from entering the pump is clogged.
If it's never been cleaned it is most likely just a clogged filter screen. Clean it and it should work fine. If however the screen is clear then it is either a blocked line or a bad pump. And yes a pump can still run and not pump, if the impeller is bad.

LG LDS5811WW Low pressure out of spray arms

On the LG LDF xxxx dishwasher family, the Vario feature uses a motor/check valve to switch between "full power" cleaning from _either_ the lower or the upper spray arms, never at the same time. So, not seeing the upper arm spin during the lower arm spinning is standard operating procedure.

But back to your problem. Step one would be to remove the filter assembly again and make certain that there is nothing (debris, broken glass) blocking the white areas where the check valve rotates to switch between upper/lower spray arms. A blockage there ~could~ cause impotent spraying/cleaning.

If there is no blockage and the impeller remains in good shape, suspect a failing wash pump motor. Try to isolate the noise to that motor.

Watch for error codes on the display and report back what you find, OK?

Good Luck!

Check the drain pump. First, manually initiate drain by pressing the second and fourth buttons on the keypad at the same time. If it pumps out, disregard the rest. If it doesn't at least hum, check for power at the motor.
Remove lower rack, lower spray arm, and screens in bottom, remove all water inside. Check for debris under pump cover in bottom of sump. The drain pump suction is through the hole on the left.
Behind the toe panel on the left is the drain motor, If no debris was found inside, the drain pump may have failed. Remove outer door panel (you may need to remove the two screws on the sides of the control panel.) Remove the metal panel across the top of the motor area , disconnect hose in front of pump, disconnect wires to pump, press tab at top of pump and rotate clockwise to remove pump. The impeller could be loose on the motor shaft, or the motor windings failed.
