Question about Toshiba 55G310U LCD TV
I will plug my toshiba 55g310u TV in and within seconds the green LED power ligh in the from of the TV will turn on, I get a blue tint on the screen but nothing else. I am unable to select menu or even power off the television. I need to unplug the TV just to power down. It seems as if it keeps rebooting itself. Any ideas?

My first inclination would be to check the picture tube, especially if the set is over 7 years old. If it is not that, then anything from bad solder connections to capacitors or a defective IC could be the cause. If it's over 10 years old, replace it. No use flogging a dead horse.

sounds like the bulb is blown. Its the main lamp in the side of the set. you will see a small door there once you take it off there is 2 screws to remove and bulb in its casing will slip out. by looking at the buld you should be able to see if its blown. You should get approx 3000 to 4000 hours from a bulb but if you are a heavy user of this tv with higher contrast the bulbs dont last. i have this model tv myself and ive been told that they are not designed to be run for long periods of time and dont use gaming machines on them. Shame they dont tell us this when we are buying them.. hope this helps you Craig (email@example.com) let me know how you get on

Have you replaced the lamp since purchasing the unit. If it has been at least two years since you brought the television, then its time for a new one. The lamp door is usually located on the back of this set but some times on the side. Remove the lamp and it may be shattered in its housing, replacing it with Lamp part # D95-LMP lamp.
