Question about Mustang Rzt 50" Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower

Open Question

Mower will not turn over - Loud clicking under the seat

My Troy-Bilt RZT Mustang 50" mower will not turn over. I have replaced the battery and it will not hold a charge. I connected a battery charger to the terminals and was able to get the lights to show on the indicator panel. When I crank the engine, I hear a loud clicking noise and feel a lot of vibration below the metal panel below the seat. I do not hear the starter turning over at all. I am starting to think it is the solenoid but not sure. Any input would be appreciated.

SOURCE: Put mower in reverse, turned it off and mower

There are safety interlocks on zero turn mowers. These prevent starting unless you have: 1. the handles in 'neutral' position 2. the brake on 3. the mower engagement (PTO) switch off 4. yourself in the seat.
Chances are one of these conditions hasn't been met. Since you were reversing when it happened, perhaps you haven't got the handles back to neutral position?

SOURCE: When I turn the key on to start my Troy-Bilt RZT

Do you hear a clicking sound???NO ?? Do you have the speed ?turning handles in the extrem OUT position? Is the ground cable connected to the engine block?? Is the Red cable connected to the + Positive post on the battery?? Is the BLACK cable connected to the - Negetive post on the battery?? Why did you need to replace the fuse? Is the battery charged??

If none of the above corrects the problem replace the ignition switch
