Question about Garden

1 Answer

Spaform We just warmed up our spa again (after a period in shich we did not use the spa, so we putted it at 10C) and if we now put our hands in the water you can feel that there is some electiricity currency in the water. It is a really unpleasant feeling (and ofcourse more important dangerous). What to do? why is this happening? How can we solve this problem? We have a hottub from spaform / balboa.

If you are feeling electricity in the water it could be a split heating element especially if you are in a hard water area but your spa should shut down if it is wired through an RCD as is generally required - check that there is an RCD installed and if not that would be my first priority - after that get a pro in to fix the fault you dont want to be going in a spar with stray electricity flowing through the water

SOURCE: When I put power to my unit. A Sn code appears.

If the SnS or Sn Message is Alternating with the Water Temperature on the Display, it is a Possible Sensors Out of Sync Message.
If the SnS or Sn Message is Blinking or Flashing OFF and ON without showing Water Temperature, it is a Verified Sensors Out of Sync Message.

SOURCE: how to fix balboa EL2001 spa

Hi,

OHH would be the Hi Limit sensor. OHH is an overheat event...
Check the followng:
1. Low GPM.
2. Low Water Level.
3. Blocked Suction Fitting.
4. Blocked Skimmer.
5. Dirty Filter.
6. Too Many Closed Jets.
7. Closed Slice Valve.
8. Heat Related Pump Not Running.
9. Heat Related Pump Not Primed.
10. Malfunctioning Impeller.
11. Incorrect Heat Related Pump.
12. Circ System Misconfigured.
13. Sensor Malfunction.

As you have already changed the sensor it is likely to be one of the others points. Hope that helps.

Starite sr400lp runs fine ,no errors however water to pool is not hot or even barely warm

With heater running put your hand by the exhaust and see if the air being expelled is hot. It will be if heater is producing heat. Depending on the size of the pool this heater can take some time to heat the water.

In econ mode my 1998 spaform hot tub does not appear to heat but it is ok in standard mode.

in the economy mode it will only maintain a temperature so that it will not freeze. Economy mode is mostly for vacation time or for winter if you are not going to be using the hot tub for an extended period of time.
Put it into the standard mode and you will be able to have a HOT tub and will function as it should

Mspa hot tub, fault code fef...........i have changed both pump and control panel on the first model i had to no avail! company then sent me a whole new tub, which i now some 6 months later doing the same!...

Try cleaning debris from water outlet screen(upper ouput port) unscrew screened grey cap, code is for rise in water pressure in unit, or its a faulty pressure switch, i figured this out on my own , company offered no support whatsoever, even on warranty

My spaform hot tub will not reach its temp ..we set the temp but it does not heat . the heater seems to be sound ?

if the heater tests out good, you most likely have a problem with the water temperature sensor. Make sure that the temp readout matches the actual water temp.. Sometimes the heater will think that the water is up to temp because the temp sensor is feeding the circuit board bad info. Check sensors, replace as necessary.

The machine gets warm but the paddle doesn't turn.

Hi, The paddle should turn freely by hand with the bread pan out of the machine. Make sure the pan is inserted in the machine correctly. If the motor shaft turns but the paddle doesn't then the sealed bearing that the paddle rotates on has failed and is frozen so the paddle does not turn.. You may need a new bread pan. Hank

I left my refrigerator on during the winter months while I went to florida our heat had been turned off the freezer defrosted and all the food thawed out but beofre i returned it had all frozen again and...

as freezers are designed to operate from 10c to 35c,if the ambient temperature drops way below operating limits instead of freezing, the gas is actually warmer than outside and it will defrost rather than completely freeze solid.as soon as the lower limit (10c)is reached it will freeze again, unfortunately all the food is bad/unfit for humans/animals.although our local foxes love any food we put out.
