How do i replace blade on kobalt 12dual bevil miter saw?

I don't know the model of saw you have but they are made for fairly rapid and uncomplicated blade changes as users will change the blade fairly often as they cut different materials.

Some saws have a spindle lock which once engaged means the bolt retaining the blade can be loosened with a single wrench and some saws need the spindle holding with a second wrench which is usually fairly thin, in the order of 3 or 4mm, to engage on two narrow flats machined on the spindle.

The blade changing process is a fairly intuitive one and if you take the time to turn the saw over and observe how it is assembled I think you will soon get the idea.

Good luck!

Would I be able to replace the blade on my scroll saw? How would I go about doing this?

It is possible to replace the balde on your scroll saw when it gets dull. Make sure that you do change the blade to be very careful because the new one will be very sharp. Following the instructions on this site will help you out. http://www.doityourself.com/stry/how-to-change-a-scroll-saw-blade#b

How the h... do i cabnge the blade on the bosch 1582 cutter ??

I am assuming you are asking because you have a CLIC system.

Bosch uses a tool-less blade changing system for its jigsaws that it calls "Clic." The system makes changing blades fast and simple. With the simple blade changing you get with the Bosch jigsaws, it is no problem to change out a dull blade.

REMEMBER: SAFETY FIRST LAST AND ALWAYS!!!

Make sure the saw is unplugged or the battery is removed.

If you have a blade in there:

Hold the saw over a work bench and push the ejector lever to the center of the front of the saw. There is a center stop; you will feel it. The blade will eject and fall out

Insert the new saw blade into the plunger until it latches into place. The teeth should face toward the front of the saw. The back of the blade should rest in the groove of the guide roller. The plunger and the guide roller are between the body of the saw and the plate

If the blade will not go into the plunger, check the positioning of the slots in the blade. They should be at the top. Push the ejector lever and try again.

Give the blade a yank to check that it is firmly seated. Plug the saw back in or replace the battery and proceed with the cut

Use protective gloves when handling blades. They can be sharp and can be HOT.

I hope this helps

Sabre saw- craftsman - 17256 - change blades

This saw uses a tool-free blade change. 1. Unplug the jigsaw 2. Place your finger on the lower edge of the see through blade guard, and pull it forward until it locks up in place 3. Lift the tool-free blade change holder (bright yellow piece above the blade), and insert the blade into the slot of the tool-free blade change holder. 4. Release the tool-free blade change holder to lock the blade in place. 5. Pull down on the blade to verify that the blade is securely locked in place. The teeth of the blade should be pointing forward and down. 5. Put the blade guard back down.
You can use with both 'T' & 'U' shanked blades.

How do I change the saw blade on my 2 hp 7 1/4 saw?

If the saw doesn't have a locking mechanism for changing the blade then you will have to jam a piece of wood in the teeth of the blade so that it cannot turn. Remember safety first. Ensure the saw is unplugged and wear leather gloves when changing the blade. Use a socket or wrench to loosen the nut that holds the blade on and remove the blade. Use the reverse procedure to tighten the blade.

How do I replace the blade?

Hi rq,

Look at the base of the blade, there is either a half twist quick disconnect or an allen screw.

Safety first: Unplug the saw.

If its the allen screw it will be located to one side of the blade. Just loosen it , pull the blade out.

The half twist ring doesa what its name implies. Twist it as far as you can (holding the saw with the bladed to the ground allows it to drop out) to free the blade.

Need to change saw blade, lost instructions

1st, !!UNPLUG the saw!! Wear gloves to prevent nicks from contact with the saw blades.
If this is a handheld 'skill-saw' type saw, use a piece of wood to chock the saw blade from turning as you use a proper size socket/wrench to loosen the bolt which holds the blade.
The bolt will loosen counter-clock wise. It will probably be very tight, and you will have to use some effort to loosen it.
Remove the bolt, lift the follow guard and remove the blade.
Replace the blade with a like size diameter blade by raising the follow guard, inserting the blade, replacing the bolt, using a piece of wood to keep the blade from rotating and TIGHTEN the bolt. You will almost feel as if you need three hands to accomplish this procedure but its been done millions of successful times.

Good luck. :)
