Hi mike,
All you need is to borrow an original cd and do the repair.
It will work 100% sure.
Be sure to use the same version of cd like windows xp home or windows xp professional.
Also use you original windows product key
You can run the command below and check works.
It will repair windows errors.
All you need to do is to boot with a cd xp an select repair options by pressing r.
then type the command below

Type in chkdsk /r/f

you will be prompted to dismantle the volume click yes
Ok
Cheers uttam

I lost my installation CD! What Can I Do?

Hi DUMi56, loacated somewhere on your case is a Microsoft CD key & the version of windows. You can use anyones windows CD that matches your version. Ex: Window XP home editio, XP pro edition or Media Edition. When it comes time to enter the cd-key you use your key printed on the MS sitcker. As far as drivers go Gigabyte only provides the needed *.inf files since windows supplies the rest. You can download all your driver software from the link provided below.

http://www.giga-byte.com/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ProductID=1385

If you have a CD or DVD burner I suggest you burn the driver/inf file, manual & bios files incase you ever need them again.

If I can be of more service, just ask.
Good Luck & have a Great Weekend!
Mike
