Mitsubishi WS-A65 1080 HD Series Won't Switch from 480i to 1080i

I originally got my TV from a friend and when i turned on the TV it shows 1080i. I had problems with my PS3 and attempted to change the settings, but failed. Now even on HD channels from my HD box it shows "480i standard" on the top left corner of the screen. I currently have the 6 component cables plugged into "Component" which has a bar tab above advising that it handles 1080i. When I plug them into the DTV the picture and sound shows up, but everything is tinted a very noticeable green. How can I set it back to 1080i?

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WS-65315 plug in HD comp shows as 480i

Greetings,

In the input assignment menu make sure that the DTV (the only 1080 input on this tv) is set to Y/Pb/Pr and see if that fixes your issue with at least the HD-DVR.

BTW- the HDMI information "1080i HD can only be selected if TV has HDMI inputs". is not correct.

HDTV CABLE NOT HOOKED UP/WORKING

COMP 1 and 2 are for 480i/p sources. Hook it to the 1080i capable on the back. Also make sure the HD DVR is outputting 1080i not 720p. The Mits can not disply 720p and will show a scrambled screen if you try to.

Xbox360 hd hookup problem---1080i

Your component cable is probably switched to the HD setting. You have to switch it back in order to get video when hooked up to a regular TV.

My ws-65611 always stay in 480i even with HD signal.

If you are using the component connection, make sure you are connected to the one that will support 1080i. If that is not the problem, make sure that the HD receiver is outputting 1080i and not 720p. No RPCRT will support 720p and the video may be down-rezed to 480 since this is the case.

My xbox360 Wont work on my WS-55513 MITSUBISHI COMPONENT

Try changing the settings on the Xbox under display to 1080i. If it is 1080 p, or 720p, the image will look funny so make sure it is at 1080i.

High Def.

If you are using the component inputs it will select 1080i automatically IF that is what it is being sent. Make sure your device (cable/satellite receiver) is set to 1080i. The TV recognizes 480i, 480p(progressive scan DVD player) and 1080i. It DOES NOT recognize 720p. Since it has no HDMI or DVI input it can't do HD DVD or "upconvert" DVD but it does very nicely with 480p/progressive scan.
