What does it say ?
are you on the internet when it pops up ?
Internet pop-ups can be an annoyance.
These windows are usually associated with different forms of advertisements and at times can include viruses that can infect the computer.
Pop-ups do not have to be a part of computer use if the user does not desire this distraction. There are ways to stop pop-ups and prevent them from appearing unless desired.
Pop-up blocker allows the user to block these items and select which items to allow. Open Internet Explorer.
Click "Tools" from the menu bar. Tools can be found on the bar that lists "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help" directly beneath the address bar.
Click "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.
Click the "Privacy" tab in the "Internet Options" box.
Click to check the box that says "Turn on pop-up blocker" in the "Pop-up Blocker" section of the menu.
Click "Apply" to save changes.
Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" box.
The computer will now block all pop-ups from websites.
If downloading items from the Web, the computer will ask whether you would like to allow these items to be opened.
IE: 8 right click in the top toolbar select the command bar this will add it to the toolbar then on the far right hand side select the tools then from the drop down list pop up blocker make sure its turned on and settings

hope this helps
It's easy to learn how to stop pop ups, and you don't need to download pop up blocking software to get rid of those annoying ads. Just try these easy fixes before downloading a pop up blocker.
The first three methods assume you can use the software you already have. It's quick and simple, and you won't need any add-ons with these methods.
It takes only a few minutes to stop pop ups yourself, even if you are not technically oriented. If Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) or Mozilla Firefox on a Windows Vista computer but these steps should work for any Windows compatible computer (although it may vary some if you have a different version of IE).
Here are four easy and quick ways to stop pop ups on your computer. You can use any one (or more) of these methods to get rid of those pesky pop up ads within minutes.
How to Stop Pop Ups - Method #1: Use Your Settings on Internet Explorer 7
Step 1: On Internet Explorer 7, go to "Tools", then "Internet Options"
Step 2: Click on the "Privacy" tab
Step 3: On the bottom, under "Pop-up Blocker", click the checkbox to "Turn on Pop-up Blocker". Click "Ok".
How to Stop Pop Ups - Method #2: Use a Different Internet Browser (Firefox)
Try using Mozilla Firefox instead of IE because Firefox automatically blocks pop up windows (unlike Explorer). You can download Firefox at http://mozilla.current-version.com.
How to Stop Pop Ups - Method #3: Use Your Web Toolbar
You may already have the google or MSN toolbar installed on your browser. If you try this approach, you may also want to read my articles on how to stop pop ups with your Google toolbar and MSN toolbar.
How to Stop Pop Ups - Method #4: Download a Paid or Free Pop Up Blocker
If you've tried the above steps, and you're still having issues, then you should consider downloading a pop up blocker program.
Two reliable free pop up blockers include the Google toolbar and MSN toolbar. Another popular paid pop up blocker is at http://ivyliu.com/panicware.htm.
For everyday pop up blockers, the above methods should work. However, if you've tried all of these suggestions and you're still having problems with persistent pop-ups, then it's likely that you have been infected with spyware.
Summary of How to Stop Pop Ups
First, try changing your IE browser settings to block pop ups. If you have Google toolbar or MSN toolbar installed, then you already have a pop up blocker installed along with it. Try using the toolbars, or try switching to the Firefox browser.
Finally, you can also download a pop up blocker (free or paid). It's easy to stop pop ups without having to download pop up blockers.
If these steps do not remove your pop ups, then you may want to download a free or paid pop up blocker.
If that fails, then you probably are infected with spyware, which must be removed in order to get rid of ad pop ups.
But the above four methods should work to stop most pop up windows.

Security warning keeps popping

To suggest a workable solution, we request you to furnish some more details on your issue like:
1) What is the exact security warning you are getting?
2) Do you get it only when using internet? Or it pops up even when not using internet?
3) Does it pop-up only when running a specific application/ website?
4) Is the security warning popped up by your security software (if any)? Or you are getting it through Windows itself?
5) Which version of Windows are you using?

In the meanwhile, we request you to scan your system thoroughly (if you have not done this already) to detect and get rid of infections (if any). Also, if you are getting the warning while running any third-party application, you can check if the application is compatible with your Windows version and then, try uninstalling and reinstalling it (if it is compatible). To check compatibility of the application, you can refer to its user guide/ installation guidelines.

run the game as an admin. right-click on the games icon then select the "run game as administrator" it should work if not then are other steps that will have to be done to get the game to work. this is in the properties and compatibility selection of the games icon. you will have to select to "run this game in compatibility mode for: " then select the version of windows to use. you may also have change another settings that are listed in the "settings" column. and select the "run as administrator" and click ok. the game should work then. if more help is needed then come back here. you may also need some vbrun dll files to make the make too. let know if you get missing vbrun files. but they should be installed with the game.

Any way to get the cd for the sony PEG T615C to install on computer with vista OS?

Hello.

From FixYa Support:

Run the program in XP compatibility mode.

First install the Palm Desktop CD that came with the CLIE. Go to "Start"> All Programs> Sony Handheld

1. Right click "HotSync Manager" and click "Properties" click Compatibility tab and and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

2. Then HotSync your CLIE it should work.

If it doesn't work:

1. While installing software from the CD open the CD and Right-click setup.exe and check XP Compatibility, and while installing, if a pop-up appears for drivers, just Click Use Old Drivers anyway.

2. In "Start"> All Programs> Sony Handheld
Rightclick all the shortcuts like "Palm desktop for Clie", "Install tool", "Hotsync manager" and set it to run in XP compatibility mode.

Hope this helps.
