Timing belt

It should be changed when the car reaches between 60,000 - 105,000 miles, but some timing belts can last longer then that. It is important to get that done. Rather spend the money to replace it when it is still good then replace it after it tears and creates more of a problem.

Honda crv Mki 2001 engine management light has just light up after timing belt changed and full service

Hi,
Honda mki2001
The engine chipset computer must have sensed the timing belt too tight or not in line or or the timing not set after the new belt put. You will HAVE to go back to rectify this problem.
A word of advise.... dont loose time... go ASAP to avoide costly damage to the bearings...

Does my 2003 crv have a timing chain or a timing belt ?

It will have both. The timing belt is the rubber belt that you can see connected to all the pulleys. The timing chain is usually covered up and is located on the opposite side of the engine from the timing belt
