Sadly that's how they make the new rechargable batteries for controllers. You are supposed to recycle that and buy new. Luckily you can find chargers for the wii very cheap nowadays. I have used a few different chargers and have found the Nyko brand ones are junk so steer clear of those. The Duracell induction chargers however work very nicely. You just set the wii remote down on the charge pad and it charges fairly quickly. My kids run around and even if the remote shifts a bit it will continue charging. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: hi my wii remote was put in a charging unit but

Normal or alkaline batteries cannot be recharged. Take out the old batteries and put in new ones. The recharger probably discharged the batteries.

SOURCE: wii remote

Try to resync your remote. To do this:
1) Locate the red button under the battery cover on your remote.

2) Locate the red button near the sd card port on your console.

3) Press both buttons within a couple seconds of each other.

4) Wait a few seconds if your remote doesn't sync, retry.

Good luck. Please rate, thanks.

SOURCE: I have a wii remote charger and have just

Make sure your charger is plugged in your Wii AND turned on. If you do this, the remotes should charge.
If the remotes still don't charge, there's a problem.

Modern batteries don't like to sit unused for 6 years and may not take and/or hold a charge sufficient for starting.
If you don't already have one, you can get a digital meter for <$20 at auto parts or electronic stores.
While checking across the battery terminals, try to start. If the voltage changes very little, then the starter isn't seeing it well enough to draw current; starter, solenoid or a crusty connector can be blamed.
If the voltage falls down to 70-75 percent when trying to start, then the battery is probably dead forever.
Some, but not all, can be restored by applying 2-4 times their normal charge voltage and monitoring it to see if the drawn current starts to climb.
If it does, DO NOT LEAVE THE HIGH CHARGE VOLTAGE ATTACHED UNLESS YOU STAY CLOSE TO IT.
I generally reduce the applied voltage until the current drawn drops to a few hundred milliamps and then check it every few hours to check progress.
If you can get the charge voltage down to 1.2-1.5 times the rated voltage and still have current flow, the battery may recover.

Built in battery wont hold its charge

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Laptop Battery Won T Charge on a laptop dell inspiron 1525

Battery could be dead and won't hold another charge. Batteries only last for so long until you have to replace them. If you laptop is ok with the AC Adapter & Power Cord meaning it boots and allows you to work in windows, then the battery is definitely dead.

My dewalt 18v xrp battery wont take a charge

Depending on how old or more to the point how many times you have already charged the battery, it may be worn out. All rechargeable batteries do reach a point where they won't charge up anymore. If you have fully discharged the battery and tried to fully charge it up again and it won't take a charge or only lasts a few minutes on a charge it may be time to recycle it and buy a new one.

Won't charge in cradle, shows slide show then goes dark. has power to remote won't charge know matter long it sit on it

The early 880's had problems with the charging circuit. For a while Harmony was replacing these units even outside the waranty period. Not sure if they are doing this anymore. However your remote is recognizing that it is in the craddle because the slide show starts which means the charging circuit in the remote is not passing power onto the battery or the battery is not making a good connection inside the remote. I would pull the battery and clean the little contacts in the remote and the contact pads on the battery. If you have a volt meter I would pull the battery and check voltage. You should see around 4 VDC on the 2 outside copper pads if it is charged. If it is charged and the remote is not working then its time for a new remote. If the battery is dead then it is likley the typical charging problem of the 880 is causing the failure. Hopefully cleaning the contacts both inside the remote and in the charging craddle will solve the problem. Use alcohol and a q-tip to clean all of the contacts.
Good Luck

Harmony 890 just went dead. Nothing. Nada. Not

I have an 890 also. I've found that the remote doesn't always charge when it the charger. I have to put a rubber band around it and make sure it shows that the the battery symbol on the display is showing that it charging. Or the battery isn't taking a charge anymore and I'd try to replace it. Doesn't really hold a charge very long either.
