Why is my 2nd recording track picking up the first recording track. I want to record another instrument, but the new track picks up the other tracks.

I don't know if this will help, but the Magix software I use create their own set of files. You can see these in the folders it will create for your project. I would specify another folder - create one - for each project or recording, that might solve the problem.

How do i add music from my music file to one of the recording tracks

Generally audio editing applications can add new tracks by either dragging and dropping the music file directly on top of the program, or going to File -> Import.
Make sure that Magix Audio Studio is capable of importing the type of file you're looking to import (it will give a warning message if it cannot).

No Volume - records a flat line

Can you hear any other sounds on your computer? If so, make sure your recording properties are set to the device name that is producing the sounds you want to record.

On my computer, this is called "stereo mix". To get to the recording control:

1) Double-click on the speaker icon next to the time on the very right of your task bar.
2) Click on properties
3) Then, click on the options menu item.
4) Next, click on the radio button next to record.
5) Select all the check-boxes
6) Click OK

At this point, if you aren't sure which device produces the sound that needs to be recorded, you can select one at a time until it works. There shouldn't be any more than 5 or 6 devices to choose from.

I hope this helps.

Recording do not sync up

1rst- Maybe you choose the incorrect metronome. On analog audio record use your default audio card metronome and on MIDI audio record, use MIDI metronome!
2nd- Check your memory video card & remember your computer speed is as fast as the lowest speed component on it.
Pardon my poor English!!!!

Good luck!!!

You certainly let the microphone or audio out volume during recording.
when you record from external source it is better to cut the volume master volume unchecking it in
the window mixer .

when no sound it amplifies itselfs and do a "larcene" I do not know how you spell it in english.
a mini effect like a micro doing that horrible noise when .. I thing you know what I mean.. :)

if not this, its a rca problem of quality of the cables, or the cables pass close to an adapter,
I've got this problem 'cos I have 2 mixtables chained and the cable was passing over the power
supply of one of my cpu.

the problem is you are only recording on one side if you are using only one source, try using dual mics (with a audio interface with at least 2 inputs) or just record your tracks in stereo, then change the playback prefference to mono for listening purposes, then change back to stereo before mixdown
