How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

I have a Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo I have lost the remote and wish to use a playstation with it. The TV has a scart port and an additional AV point. Yet with out the remote I can not use. Is there a combo of buttons I can press on the front panel to change to AV input? I have tried an universal remote, however it only works on the VCR setting and does not allow AV change. How can i turn to av without a remote control.

You might try going to channel 00
If you cannot just dial the number 00, go to channel 2 and then channel down.
Does not always work, but without the model number of the TV it is hard to advise further

SOURCE: How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

I had this problem with my TV/VCR combo unit (Samsung CXC1972) after losing the remote while in the dorms. I tried a few different universal remotes and dozens of codes before I tried the Philips 3 device universal remote as pictured below with code 037 programmed into the VCR/DVD button. I can't change the volume with this code but the input key switches between line in and tv. You can also change the channel, access the menu and operate the VCR functions with the code. I bought the remote for less than $10 at Walmart so it might be worth a try, and if it doesn't work you can always bring it back. Hope this helps.98fe8a9.jpg

WHITE-WESTINGHOUSE TV/VCR COMBO NEED CODE

The code for the TV is 0623 but to use the TV/VCR button to change mode from line to TV the code is one of the following 0179, 0451, 0463, 0624 or 0278. The 0623 only activates the menu but doesn´t let you change Air/Cable mode without first changing the Line/TV mode by pressing the TV/VCR or Line input button on your universalk remote with one of the other codes.
