i cut the piece of wire and pulled it back out. then i put it along the side to see how far it went. then i cut the casing to reveal the liner. it is not kinkned. i tried holding the whole thing striaght so it had a straight path. but it still stoped at the same spot. also tried difrent wire feed speeds but kept geting stoped.

i blew the wire out with air through the nozzel and there was a one inch size peice of wire that came out. it must have brock off some time. works fine now.

That is normal, that is just the wire hanging up before it goes into the gun, try turning the wire speed all the way up, hold the trigger in and move the gun in a circular motion, if you keep the gun moving that will keep the wire from hanging up in one spot. i hope this helps

Why does wire keep coming out when trigger is not pulled

From the mig welder, unplug the trigger leads that exit the mig gun on the end of the gun that connects to the mig welder and power on your machine. If the wire flow stops, you have a shorted trigger circuit inside of the gun cable. If it doesn't stop wire flow, depending on your machine make & model, there is an internal issue with the trigger circuit that could possibly be just a simple relay issue.

Wire stuck in gun

first off you need to give more information than wire is stuck in gun, you also need to tell what kind of gun, is it the one that came with the machine, if it is, did you try to take the whole gon off of the unit, it would be best to take the unit back to the place that you bought it from, there they have a service man who will fix it for you.

My wire feed is not working. there seems to be a crimp in the line leaving the welder. what is the best fix?

If the "line" leaving the welder is the weld gun the crimp could be that the liner in the gun lead is indeed crimped. This will not allow the wife to feed from the gun.
Remove the gun from the welder and see if you can push or pull the flux wire in/out of the gun. If you cannot then remove the liner and replace it. If the crimp is too bad you may not be able to evem remove the liner. If that is the case yo may have to replace the gun. Hope this helps.

Wire stuck in liner and can not get out

if the wire is stuck in the liner, screw the top pieces off the gun, like the contact tip and the diffuser so you can grab the wire with pliers, pull the wire out of the liner with the pliers, make sure the back of the wire is not still connected to the spool!

Stuck

You need to purchase new tips. They go bad after awhile. They're made of copper, and are quite soft. Simply remove the nozzle (piece covering the tip)by unscrewing it, then get a good set of pliers on the tip to unscrew it. When screwing the new tip in, be sure to only finger tighten it, if you put too much force on it with pliers and what not, you can damage the softmetal, and end up with the same problem.
