Question about Computers & Internet
The "wireless" on / off button on my LGF1 Laptop, is broken. I have taken it to a computer technician and had it fixed, by overiding the button so that wireless automatically connected when I started my computer. Again it is not working and I dont want to pay another $60 to have it fixed again. How do I activated my wireless by passing the button on the keyboard.
I would go to add/remove hardware and uninstall the wireless hardware and purchase a USB wireless connector the same make as you wireless router and let windows control the connection instead of pushing a bad position.

It seems the two oval lights on the front of the Acer TravelMate
3003LCi are not only lights to indicate WiFi traffic, but also buttons
to turn the WiFi radio on and off for security reasons. If you press
and hold the left side button for 3-5 seconds it should turn back on
the WiFi radio. Windows XP (and maybe other OS’s) have a power saving
function that turns the radio off when not in use to save the battery,
so you have to use the buttons to turn the radio back on. Seems like a
pain in the @$$ to me, but it’s a clients laptop not mine so he will
have to live with that.
I hope this helps someone so they do not have to go through the frustration of trying to figure out why the radio has been turned off.

if you go to the control panel, to hardware, in the keyboard section you should be able to uninstall the internal keyboards driver which will stop it working.

I was working in a computer with the same problem, when you remove the keyboard and the keyboard cover at the right side of the power button you can see an small plastic cap with two wires, is the num lock led, when the wires are under the top cover and the screws of the keyboard or the cover are too tight the wire is damage and make contac with the earth shuting down the power supply, check the wires, repair if broken and take care that its not under the top cover when you assembly.
