Windows not loading and laptop restarting during installation

I am not able to load any versions of windows on to this laptop. I tried to install windows xp, windows 7 and even windows 8 also. The laptop restarts after partition creations on all the instances. Also I am not able to access the sata operation mode in the BIOS. The BIOS is also not supporting USB External DVD Roms. Please let me know if I can fix this with any bios update. Also plese make a note that I have a raw hard disk drive.

First you must have the installation disc.

Restart your computer

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or the F2 key

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the using arrow key scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

note this will erase you operating system you will have to have an operating system disk to load it onto you hard drive or create a partition to load another operating system

(note after you have loaded the operating system you should go back and change the first boot device to your failsafe or optimized defaults)
after windows has loaded

your computer will automatically restart it might restart 2 times one to finish the installation
the next will be because the operating system is loaded and will boot from your cd

during the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load

failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
otherwise it will keep booting from the cd /dvd drive

hope this helps

Powers down and restarts after 10 seconds. Install not complete

I don't know if this will help but I've run into a similar problem myself. I found that if I preformatted the hard drive before starting the install, the install would continue successfully. I can't tell you why for sure but I think the installer program is using the hard drive for decompressing files or something like that and the files get corrupted with out a preformated hard drive. I hope this helps, good luck!

Sata drive is not recognized by os during new install

When installing XP or Vista you get the option to load third party drivers for unknown devices. I think it's F6 just after the start of any version of Windows, once you press this you will have to supply the drivers for the Windows installation. This will make Windows recognise the hdd from then on.

Failure to load windows

If you can try a different hard drive. And make sure the format of the hard drive that's installed doesn't freeze or doesn't complete.
Those are just the first things that popped into my mind,
I'm sure other's will have more suggestions.
Good luck.

oh no!! there's a possibility that it has a virus contiained on your hard drive. If you have rescue disk( comes with a floppy drive), insert it before booting up your computer. Run setup of your rescue disk then follow instructions of the certain program on how to virus scan your PC on DOS setup.
