Question about ViewSonic PJD6211 Projector
I have a ViewSonic PJD6211 Projector and it turns on, fans run but no light comes from projector tunnel, after taking the cover off and making an adapter fir the lid switch I discovered that I'm only getting 15VAC to the bulb when it is suppose to be working. Any I deas of what could be wrong? I think that it's the controller but I don't know if it's intergrated into the main powerboard or not. Please Help!!!

i have the same problem, a clear image, the the projector shuts down, turn the fan on, and "lamp" blinks.
i returned my projector to viewsonic service center, they told me to change the lamp.
the problem is that a lamp is very expensive!

proable solution the cooling fan is giving problems. the whistling sound most likely is fan rubbing on a wire??? The unit gets over heated and turns off for protection. Good luck

Without more info, I'll tell you some things to check...Make sure the power cord is still plugged in firmly. With the unit unplugged, check the lamp for damage, looseness, etc. Was the unit hot when you moved it? If it was, the lamp was more prone to damage due to the heat. Always be VERY gentle if you have to move a hot projector for any reason. Did the unit sustain any hard impact while moving? Impacts crack boards, loosen connectors, and damage lamps. Make sure the lamp door is closed completely--there is a switch on the door to prevent the projector from coming on if the door is open. Make sure you didn't press any buttons on the unit too hard while holding it during moving.
