Either the router firmware was not for your system or the upgrade didn't take. If it just didn't take, you will have to reinstall the upgrade or reflash the upgrade manually. Your owners manual or the manufacturer's website should provide specific instructions on how to do this. fix =restore ispw 3G firmware that is earlier your present one, from someone like iclarified. try a few untill the wifi connects online.
you can search net to see how to restore to earlier firmware using itunes.
when wifi, hopefully works, update to latest firmware .
I assume your phone is a import, australia, hong kong? not from your current country.
even if it does nt work no harm should be done.

If
all else fails, you can reset the router, this different than simply
restarting it. You will need a pin or paperclip to press the reset
button usually found on the back or sometimes on the bottom of router.
PLEASE
NOTE: Resetting the router will delete all current settings including
securtiy and reset them to their factory default settings.
But
this will isloate any issues that may be associated with your current
settings including security. You can reconfigure your router with the
settings you perfer after determining that the issue is with the router
or not.
