LG top loader now has a very load knocking sound and the cycle stops at the spin stage although the readout goes right to the end so you lift the lid and voila wet clothes

Does it knock all the time? Have you tried it empty? Have a look at the springs or shock absorbers, maybe one is broken or the weight attached to the drum, is it secure and properly located? Check for play in the drum bearing by moving the inner drum side to side against the outer (and also listen to see if anything is trapped).

Samsung washing machine wa7584c1 power is on, programming seems fine, push start and nothing happens, except water flows ok, no washing no spinning no draining

hello check the belt first to see if it's come off or snaped if ok then the fault could be the brushes on the motor 2 plastic blocks sit either side of the motor they wear down can cause the motor to stop working they just slide out hope it helps

Does the Bosch wfmc4301UC have a sensor to sense when the load is unbalanced to prevent the machine from spinning an unbalanced load at high speed resulting in vibration / knocking?

To answer in short regarding your question "Does the Bosch wfmc4301UC have a sensor to sense when the load is unbalanced"...sort of. Now to expand and hopefully explain. This is an abbreviated ( as well as my understanding as an authorized servicer ) discription from B/S/H. (bosch)

All Bosch front load washer`s ( and most other "european" frontloads) use a tachometer/dyno at the end of the motor. What this does is measure the resistance based on the weight of the items/load (heavier load more resistance, more weight on one side then the other = uneven/unbalanced load ) as the unit reverses back and forth and distributes the load. As the items get distributed more evenly the motor speed will increase. If the unit cannot achieve a balance satisfactory after aprrox. 16 attempt`s for the control, the bosch will minimize/reduce the selected spin speed.

Having said all that, it is not perfect. There are other factor`s that can and will affect the balance or cause excessive vibration`s. The number one cause of excessive vibration is the wrong type of detergent being used or too much. These machine`s have to be used with "HE" low sudsing detergent. (refer to your owner`s manual for other factor`s which provoke vibration/knocking)

Different garment`s hold sud`s differently, hence causing an un-equal load distribution as well under long term use major knocking and premature bearing wear.

Hope this answer`s your question and help`s move you forward. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Whirlpool washing machine

Welcome hendrik,
You said, jumping around during spin cycle

How old is your GHW9150 washer?

Usually it is overload or load unbalanced due to uneven load. You must stop the machine and re-distribute the load and or weight!

Here are some Whirlpool reasons for you.
But if nothing helps you may have a mechanical problem to be serviced!

Try these ideas first!

Is the load balanced?

A single or bulky item may cause imbalance. Add more items
or redistribute the load.
Washer makes noise or vibrates
Is the washer level?
The washer must be level. The four feet should be properly
installed, and the nuts should be tightened against the
washer cabinet.
As water is drained from the washer, you may hear air being
pulled through the pump. This happens during the end of
draining. It is normal.
Are you washing items with metal snaps, buckles or zippers?
You may hear metal items touching the washer drum. This is
Is washer installed on a sturdy and solid floor?
Refer to the “Installation Instructions” for flooring
requirements. Noise and vibration may be reduced by placing
a piece of ¾" (19.1 mm) plywood underneath your washer.
The plywood may extend underneath both washer and dryer
to keep them at equal heights.
Let me know If you have any questions and what happens!!!
