The product has experienced an error with the fuser. Recommended action
Turn the product power off, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn the product power on and wait for it to initialize.
Turn off the product, wait at least 25 minutes, and then turn on the product.
If you are using a surge protector, remove it. Plug the product directly into the wall socket. Turn the product power on.
If the message persists, contact HP support.
X FUSER ERROR
A fuser error has occurred.
1. Turn the printer off, wait 10 minutes, and then turn the printer on. 2. If the message persists, reseat the fuser. If that does not work, replace the fuser. To check the fuser, turn the printer off and remove the fuser. Measure the resistance between the fuser connectors. If it is not within the proper range, replace the fuser. If there is not continuity between the fuser connectors neutral and hot with the fuser removed, replace the fuser. If the problem is not related to the fuser, replace the engine controller board.
The error message means that the Fuser web has a problem. This is the part that cleans the upper fuser roller on the copier. It's located inside the left door of the copier and more than likely requires a copier technician to replace it. Fuser webs(belts) gradually get consumed after about 100,000 prints. The other possibility is that you may have had a brown-out or some other kind of power fluctuation in your area and the error just needs to be reset in service mode, but I'd check the first solution 1st, the part is cheap $25-$50.
even i am having the same problem. I was looking online and found this stuff:
Turn off the printer and switch it on after 20 mins.
Step2. If the above step doesnt work then remove the fuser and replace it back again.
Step3: if the above two stpes doesnt work and you still have that error message, then remove the fuser and check the impedance, if its below the required level(i dont know whats the required impedance is), then you have to change the fuser.
I tried both step1 and 2, it still shows the error message, i guess i will have to change the fuser.
Let me know if this helps
